Nerevar wouldn't put it past any Daedra Lord to commit mass kidnapping for its own amusement and nothing more. He also would not be surprised to learn that there was some hidden purpose behind it. The ways of Daedra, good and bad, cannot be known or even grasped at unless they wish to make them known. Again, he knows this from experience.
