For a second, Jem feels like he is eleven years old and in England for the first time in his life. All the street names and people were change, foreign and confusing.

He doesn't understand more than the most basic words that this man says.

"Thank you," he says politely. "I am afraid I've never heard of the USS Enterprise. It seems very large to be a carriage. Where is it heading?"
