Because lightsabers are energy-based weapons, I'm willing to say they'd be pretty non-effective against the Crystaloids, since said lifeforms survive by consuming energy. A strike from a lightsaber would feed the lifeform, and most likely wouldn't interrupt the integrity of the lightsaber blade itself.
