Apologies are a start, but they can't make up for the fact that they should never have been necessary in the first place. Or everything that led up to why any of it happened.

He can't accept the apology until he's ready to forgive his father, and he can't do that yet. An apology isn't enough.

"That's great. How do I get home?"
