Perhaps it's ironic that he actually didn't catch her staring so much as concerned about her waiting for a medic. The idea that someone might just be named 'Doctor' hasn't occurred to him just yet. His face lowers a little and there's a few moments of glare before his full face is visible.

"He's not a doctor?" Jubei frowned a bit more as he tried to figure out why a doctor wouldn't be a doctor. "Is it some sort of pun? I've been trying to learn a few but so far I've failed."
