Peeta isn't sure just how involved the allies are meant to be, or what Haymitch might have discussed with them before (or after) Peeta and Katniss were officially taken into the fold of the alliance amongst previous victors; but an ally is an ally, and while he is by no means about to trust Finnick with more than a stone's throw, right now he could use someone to help him find Katniss.
And a familiar face on this side of the Games is better than someone from the Capitol.
So Finnick gets a curt, grateful nod, and a shrug.
"I don't know," he says. "One minute I was in a glass cylinder, and the next ... here. This is it, isn't it? This is the arena."
But the people don't make any sense.
They're unlike anyone he's ever seen in any district or the Capitol alike.
