Mod Post: Bed & Board & Shenanigans
As you know, we are opening in 2 days time (or one day, depending on when you see this sneaky late-night post of mine. After the dust settles and the shock wears off, people are likely to need some quiet time, and rest.
So, for the first few nights, all the 'guests' at the Enterprise will be quartered on deck 7, sections 1 to 4. The quarters there are double suites, with private sleeping areas sharing a common, central bathroom. Characters will be assigned randomly to rooms, with the exception of special cases, such as in-game/on-board married couples and children and their guardians.
Initially, they will be "gently confined", as in, not allowed to wander the ship; from their quarters they can take the lifts to deck 10, and the lounge; they are strangers, after all, and Mr. Worf wants everybody where he can keep an eye on them. As people get acquainted with the crew, win their trust and start to be seen as regular guests, exceptions will be made and the newcomers will get to see the wonders of a Galaxy-class Federation cruiser openly and up close.
We will make a random draw for roommate arrangements, beyond the special cases listed, and as time goes by and people get to know each other, room transfers will be allowed if in-character incompatibilities reach a disruptive level in the crew's opinion. Meanwhile, some "odd couples" scenes are sure to crop up, and hopefully be fun for all involved.
Now you gentle folk need to comment with your character, if there are any special circumstances to be excused from random roommate assignment; we will tabulate the results once everyone's been thrown in and do another post letting everyone know who they've been paired up with as a roommate and where they'll be moving together.

Early apologies now if Aeryn turns out to be the neatest, least friendly, roommate ever.no subject

She builds primitive robots. They're like pets, they follow her around. Consider yourself warned.

(Unless Kate or Caspian feels a need to steal her, so as to keep her within watching.)
She's keeps things mostly clean, loves to drink tea, and gets along with mostly everyone.

Clint Barton (watchword_competence) has no preferences, but I'd prefer he not be paired with telepaths/similar (if we have any) to tamp down on potential messiness.
(Depending on in-game situations [threads, so forth], Clint will probably migrate at some point -- in the next 1-6 months -- to sleeping in Natasha's room, because he just feels safer over there. I would love the chance to thread roommate stuff with other people, though!)
