Definitely! He'll need a lay of the land so it won't be long before he's exploring. Where could he cross paths with Kristen?

For right now best options are looking to be Ten Forward and other public areas. But I can have her take a wrong turn to make an excuse to meet during the room mixer?

He's somewhat in shock at the mixer so I'm thinking Ten Forward or she physically runs into him in a corridor? It'll be almost as if poor Kristen ran into a wall. I think he'll end up wanting a drink at the end of the day, even if he can't get drunk.

ETA: I was going to throw him in the open post you have for Kristen, maybe after Magneto tags?

You say 'seriously' like I was kidding! Might regret what you wish for though... I see Inara causing a number of feels, Carolyn a bunch of awkward amusement, and Johanna is probably going to ended up with a big brother she clearly doesn't need which will result in her special breed of crazy! xD
