Food for thought!

My food for thought today is a carrot cupcake, with cream cheese icing and a little candy-corn pumpkin on top. Tasty.

I got questions. You got answers?

No pressure, no deadline, just keeping ourselves amused.

So, this being a Star Trek-setting game... you know at some point, we're all but obligated to do a mirror storyline. What would your character's mirror-universe counterpart be like? What would they do?

He could also, or alternatively, be the King Richard he played in Robin Hood: Men In Tights. It's good to be the king, right?

I mentioned this to our Lady Marian app, and I think it quite nearly made her head explode. ^__^

Someday there will be a plot where I get to utilize Sir Patrick Stewart's illustrious career, mark my words.

Mirror!McCoy kills everyone.

No seriously, though. I played Mirror!McCoy once before and he was absolutely terrifying (for the record, this nearly 200 post thread isn't all me playing Mirror!McCoy - we've deviated and omg it's great but anyway).

On the ship, he's the interrogator. Instead of using medicine to cure, he finds every single medical thing to torture information out of his victims. Most of the time, it ends in death, leaving quite a large number of stains in his sickbay. Or deathbay, whatever you want to call it. While he's still well versed in medical knowledge and can easily heal people, he typically doesn't. Except when he has to. Jim.

He hates his captain and everyone on the crew. Screw 'em. The only reason why he's there is because he loves his job and people are fun to ~~torture~~ spent quality time with.

I love this idea! I've always wanted to play with a mirror universe plot.

never_felt_better: Mirror!John would be a very dangerous man. He's already almost destroyed the universe multiple times, and that's as one of the good guys. He'd have no sense of humor or compassion, a brilliant mind, and the capabilities to make wormhole weapons that can wipe out whole planets. ... Oh god, John would basically be Darth Vader? No, it isn't true!

ikissdhimbck: Kissin' Kate Barlow already toes the line between good and wicked. I imagine her mirror universe counterpart a leather-clad Harley-riding leader of a biker gang, prone to hard drinking and hard living. She helps disadvantaged kids at the Y every weekend, though.

stark_spangled: It's breaking my brain a little trying to think of a mirror universe Steve Rogers. He could end up like Johann Schmidt, or the super soldier Hodges would have made had Colonel Philips had his way. I think, mostly, mirror universe Steve would have no sense of self, no compulsion to help others, probably living out a life completely under the radar in some small apartment in Brooklyn. I might have to think more on this, though.

and_she_waited: Mirror universe Amelia Pond would be amazing, full stop. Still ballsy, brassy, less likely to rely on the Doctor and more likely to be the Doctor. She'd steal the TARDIS and have amazing adventures in space. With Rory, of course.

What do you guys think? I'm open to other interpretations, too!

(Mirror Universe Me would be a successful author with the ability to control people's minds through the sheer beauty of my powerful prose, muahahahaaaaa. I would have regular teas with JK Rowling, Stephen King, and Chuck Wendig. Yes good.)

awol_redranger Mirror!Andros would probably be a male Astronema. In non PRIS terms that basically means he'd take over the universe, make everyone his slaves and make them lick his boots. And wear a lot of pleather.

heartofasun Mirror!Trance would be a lot like Q, but much more malicious--intentionally malicious.Instead of trying to save the crew, she'd put them in horrible situations just to screw with them--with no regard for organic life.

Picard is making SUCH a face for both these answers, muahaha.

(I don't know WHY I don't have a facepalm icon yet, Picard is going to need one. *solemn*)
