Hey guys!
Amber (player of Irianaehallh) here, bringing in one Stahma Tarr from Syfy's Defiance. Long story short, Stahma is a refugee from the destruction of her home system thousands of years ago; some thirty-odd years ago, her people's fleets arrived in orbit of Earth, and they were eventually permitted to settle on the planet. Lots of things have happened in between then and now, including a series of conflicts called the Pale Wars and an accident in which all of the alien Arks (ships) in orbit of the Earth exploded simultaneously, unleashing the terraforming technology contained inside and turning Earth into a half-alien hybrid world.
Stahma will act demure, proper and charming to your face — having been raised in a culture where women are regarded as second-class citizens, this is reflexive for her. Underneath, though, she's almost always planning or calculating something. She's very good at manipulating people and not afraid of doing so, even people she cares about, but she also has to do so subtly. She murdered her fiancé — who was chosen for her by her parents — so she could be with the man she loved, and successfully made the murder look like an accident. That was a thing that happened, among a lot of other things that have happened since.
