Introduction, and calling any/all sciene-y muses!

Hello, new player here!

I go by the name of Meles, and I'll be playing this here ancient Wraith.

For those unfamiliar with his canon, he's basically a somewhat telepathic space vampire. He feeds on humans. Which brings me to my next topic: curing him of his feeding habits.

If he's going to function on board the Enterprise, he can't go around feeding on and killing people. While it could be handwaved by simply going "Q fix'd!" it would be a waste of a good plot device. In the show there is an attempt with gene therapy to make it unnecessary for his kind to feed on humans. It failed, but I'd love if that or something similar could be made to work here in-game. He'll need access to research facilities/medical labs (Staff? Captain Picard? Mods? Yes? No?) and he'll need help.

So if there are any clever muses who would feel inclined to help save the poor guy from starving to death, I'd absolutely love to plot and plan with you.

...yes. Anyway. I'm Famine, and I play Doctor Julian Bashir from DS9--he's rather well studied on gene therapy, because it's especially relevant to him. He'd be happy to help.

I also play Tora Ziyal from DS9, who is much less science-y but will say hello nonetheless.

I'm not at all familiar with DS9 (the last time I watched anything Star Trek was about 25 years ago), but the good doctor sounds perfect. He's doing medical scans, right? That could be a god starting point.

I think I still need to tag you on that but yes. Though Henry will have been slightly less inclined to talk to people once Todd does get on the ship because he'll have been in sick bay. He broke some bones in the plot. But I'll reread it and double check <3

Hey! I'm Kara and I play Trance Gemini and Telemachus Rhade from Andromeda, Andros from Power Rangers in Space and Gul Dukat from DS9. Welcome!

Also, Trance would totally be interested in using nanotech to try and help him. She was also friends (in Andromeda) with a Magog monk--a species of alien who need to kill in order to digest their food--so she's got experience in the matter! Feel free to try and feed off Trance. Although she's not human, you can't kill her. Or...you can. She just gets back up again. So, if you want to plot I'm all for it!

Then there is Gul Dukat who says if you go near his daughter you will regret it :) His daughter is Tora Ziyal btw.

I know you've already been in touch with one of our other mods, but I just wanted to give you a double thumbs-up for moving forward on your gene therapy plot. For access to one of the labs (ie: without having an Enterprise officer present), Picard is likely the man you want to talk to -- and he is one of my lot. :)

We can work out how to go about it after the medical scan and vaccination. There might pop up useful things there.
