shout your confessions meme!

I saw this at another game and it amused me enough that I decided to steal it and post it here for the amusement of our cast.

So, here you go~

SHOUT YOUR CONFESSIONS MEME!!!

1. Post your character shouting a confession. ALL CAPS LOCK, ALL THE TIME.
2. ICly react to others' confessions.
3. That's it. That's the meme.
likeavirtue: (l. in uniform.)

then my work here is done <3

I guess you're not aware that you're speaking to a police officer.

[ Flatly. ]

I'll let underage drinking slide, but if you're about to tell me you and your ragtag group of friends go around stealing purses off old ladies and killing people, that's where I draw the line.

And it's a harsh, red line.
electro_kinetic: (bitch please)

<3 <3 <3 all the hearts~

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-19 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Because you're gonna do what? Arrest me? You're way the hell out of your jurisdiction here, man.

For the record, our trouble runs more along the lines of retaliation over people killing kids like us because we're mutants. You wanna give me shit over that because it crosses your red line, feel free. I've heard worse.
likeavirtue: (k. not afraid to get dirty.)

<3 4ever

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-20 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Look, kid, you've obviously got your share of troubles. I'm not here to piss on your emo parade if that's what you wanna do. Certainly not because you've got some kind of mutation.

I'd be a hypocrite if I gave people shit for being different.

[ Small, vague shrug. ]

I'm just saying you'd better have a damn good reason for causing trouble - because being outside of my jurisdiction also means I don't have to follow protocol.
electro_kinetic: (Default)

whoops misfire

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-20 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
You ain't gonna slap cuffs on me, man. If you wanted to you'd've done it by now.
likeavirtue: (j. come on.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-20 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
[ Thaaaaat ... actually gets a wry smirk from him. ]

All right. Fair.

I don't plan on arresting you - whether or not I could, which we'll leave up to debate.

So tell me what you mean by 'because we're mutants'.
electro_kinetic: (street rat)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-20 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I mean exactly what I say. Because we're mutants, because we're more than human--or not quite human, depending on who you ask--some people think we need to be exterminated.
likeavirtue: (j. come on.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Explain.

How exactly are you a mutant anyway? I don't see any tails or extraneous digits on your fingers. No third eye, or third leg.

Is it something more internal? Carefully crafted DNA?
electro_kinetic: (barehanded bolt)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-21 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
[ She holds up a hand, and within a second's time it's full of what looks like a lightning storm in miniature, arcing between her fingers and her palm, and between it and her other hand as she moves them closer. ]

Internal. You could say that, yeah.
likeavirtue: (a. the night is young.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
[ Kennex lets out an impressed whistle. ]

Damn.

Now that's something.
electro_kinetic: (hat)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-21 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's one word for it.

Would you be as impressed if I said I could feel the electrical impulses from the pacemaker cells in your heart?
likeavirtue: (f. speak up.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yes.

Yes I definitely would.

[ o_o ]
electro_kinetic: (distracted)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-21 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's called electrokinesis. It also means I make one hell of a battery charger. My cell phone never dies.

Or, you know, anything else electrical.
likeavirtue: (j. come on.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
[ There's a small laugh. ]

That's one hell of a handy trick.

[ He gestures to his right leg again. ]

This thing, it's useless when it's half-charged. Even less so when it's down to its last ten percent.

What I wouldn't give to keep it charged indefinitely.

[ For one, it'd stop reminding him that his leg is a synthetic because his real one was blown off on a betrayal disguised as a botched mission. ]
electro_kinetic: (giggles)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-21 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
[ She beckons him closer with an amused roll of her eyes, and gesture to his leg. ] You want me to take a look at it? I built these gauntlets, I might be able to improve your battery life. Or you can just come find me and let me feel you up when you need a charge, your call.

[ Nori doesn't say it as a come-on; it's just her humor, and it's brassy at best. ]

[ ooc: we so need to have them meet for real and have this conversation, y/y? ]
likeavirtue: lets show kids dead bodies, i'm sure they'll like that (c. yeeeeah.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
[ That gets another laugh out of him.

Congrats, Nori. This never happens. Like, ever. ]

Let's stick with the first option. I'll - uh. Let you have a look at it next time. Improved battery life sounds promising.

[ ooc: YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES ]
electro_kinetic: (Default)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-21 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Your call, man.

Next time you take it off, let me know. Or do you need it charged now?
likeavirtue: (j. come on.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Noted.

Although, you know, I'm a little curious to see how it works.
electro_kinetic: (concerned)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-21 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
I put my hand on your leg, channel electricity to its battery, and stand back up. Essentially. Sure, it works faster if I have direct access to the charge port, but it's not strictly necessary.

The small things aren't usually all that showy.
likeavirtue: (h. surveying.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
All right.

That doesn't sound too ... weird.

[ He pulls up the right pant of his trousers, revealing the synthetic leg, a greyish translucent limb with its circuitry constantly adapting to every minute motion Kennex makes. ]

Wanna give it a go now? It probably won't need much of a charge, as I'd done it just this morning ... but without a proper charger, it's going to become pretty obsolete in a matter of 24 hours. 36 at best.
electro_kinetic: (Default)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-21 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[ She crouches down, obviously comfortable with the way these things go, and considers his leg, laying her fingertips against it. ]

Now, I'm assuming this casing is not a Faraday Cage, in which case we will have a slight problem, but it doesn't seem like it is one. And man, we can definitely improve on a 24-hour battery life. Shit, my cell phone has a better one than that.
likeavirtue: (j. come on.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-21 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Wry laughter. ]

When you're on the go from 8 until 10, sometimes 11 in the night ... yeaaah, it wears down on the power. Maybe if I was working a desk job, it'd last a little longer.

My partner recently got me a new leg, but I didn't have a chance to test it out before this goddamned ship abducted me. So, it's old model or bust.

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-22 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, cop hours. I get it.

I'll look you over and see what work I can do on the thing while you don't need it.
likeavirtue: i like my coffee at 165'F with a little bit of snark. (n. human comforts.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-22 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, kid. I'm John, by the way.

[ He nods, grateful. ]

And you know, not all cops are bad.

I know it's a thing cops say, but I'm serious. There are some really shitty ones, and there are some who aren't.
electro_kinetic: (hands up)

[personal profile] electro_kinetic 2014-09-22 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know. And I don't normally carry grudges with cops--but there ain't a whole lot of you in New York that like us.

Name's Noriko. Ashida Noriko, but mostly you can call me Nori.
likeavirtue: i like my coffee at 165'F with a little bit of snark. (n. human comforts.)

[personal profile] likeavirtue 2014-09-22 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Fair enough. I'm from the West Coast anyway.

Maybe there's a difference.

[ There's a small amused look. Welcome to Kennex's poor attempt at humour. ]

Good to meet you, Nori.
