Well, that's ... good. Not being a blood thirsty monster.

[ He pauses for a moment, because this is kind of an awkward thing to find out about somebody. Especially for a person who's never heard a werewolf story in his life. ]

If it helps, I don't care what the stories say.

[ He knows a little something about how stories grow in the telling. There are stories that call Dylan an angel of death. In general, he'd argue with that particular characterization. ]

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want anyone to judge me on some of the stories that get told about me.

Besides, it's who you are that counts, not what people say.

Yeah. I never liked judging people. I'd really rather not be on the receiving end of it either.

[ That would be a thing they have in common, and the way he almost not quite manages to suppress his smile would be a giveaway to anyone who knows him well just how pleased that makes him. ]

I like that, actually. I tend to be.... less than that.

That's not always what people call it, but it's what they mean.

[ Many of the things he gets called are far less complimentary than 'optimistic'. 'Insane' is probably one of the nicer descriptions. But ... it comes down to optimistic in the end. ]

Being optimistic can be good. Means you're more likely to see the good parts of a situation. I'm.... working on how I view things.
