TEST DRIVE #1 - Ten Forward

You know how you were standing there, back in your home world, just minding your own business?

Time to forget all about that.

Instead of doing whatever the heck you were just doing, you're standing in the middle of this very stylish, sedate barroom. Happily, you're not alone there - in fact you're surrounded by people who seem to be as confused as you are...and some of them look a little, well unusual

Now would be a great time to do....well, something. Ask some questions of the person nearest you, throw a fit, stage a coup....maybe do a little exploring? No matter what you do, you're going to be here for a very long time.

For others might call it the USS Enterprise, but for the foreseeable future, you'll be calling it home.

[OOC: this test drive's open until the next app period.]

The last thing Leonard wanted to do was parooze through the crowd and ask random people what the hell was going on. But the kids had a point. Someone had to know something. They could ask. He'd just watch and make sure no one tried to attack them. He could defend them. He had a phaser with him.

He saw Kim's smile but didn't return it. Nothing against her, he just wasn't in the mood for smiling. He did, however, look around the crowd just in case someone he knew managed to pop out of the damn air. No such luck.

"No, no one." Maybe it was better that way.

Leonard stared at the kids again. They seemed on edge. Finally, some damn normal emotion. But they couldn't keep sitting at the bar waiting for something to happen like the rest of them. If they were going to ask someone, the people that took the initiative to leave the damn room were more likely to have information. But he couldn't just drag the kids some place if they didn't want to go. Let them play leader. They couldn't be as trouble attracting as Jim. He stood from his seat.

"Are we staying to question or searching the ship?"

Kimberly probably should have been more worried, but she wasn't. She knew Zordon, and she knew the others would find them. They were the Power Rangers, and when they worked together, anything was possible. Including getting out of this mess.Besides, this wasn't nearly the worst situation they'd be in. There was food, water, and no one was trying to kill them. Over all, that was kind of awesome. Morphinominal even.

Or it would be if she could get Leonard to smile. Just a little one. Someone totally soured his milk. Or whatever it was he had been drinking.

"Let's look around. At least we can get a feel for where we are. If we're really lucky, someone will pop around a corner and yell 'GOTCHA!'. " She had a few someones in mind actually.

And maybe, while they were looking around, one of them could find a bathroom and see if they were still in contact with Zordon.

As awesome as being on some unknown ship could be, anyway.

"Searching the ship, I guess. Depending on how long we're here, we may as well get to know the place and maybe question people on the way?" Adam suggested. Man, where was Billy when you needed him? He'd probably have figured this place out already! Still, he nudged Kim a little to get her to start moving away from the bar, starting the search off now that they seemed to be in agreement on what to do.

Good. At least they were agreeing on something.

"Come on." He took the lead and walked through the crowd to the door, glancing back every now and then to see if the kids were keeping up. He wasn't a hovering parent or anything, but if this happened to his daughter...

Never mind.

He eventually did make it to the door and waited for the kids to catch up. He knew the layout of the Enterprise well enough, so he'd let the kids make the choices here. Besides, it could be a different version of that starship or even a different ship all together.
