TEST DRIVE #6 - The Bridge and Ten Forward

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprise's off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. The Bridge: Well, aren't you a lucky duck? You've found yourself in hallowed quarters. Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. Now you're in a room that could be some kind of command center or control room; there's a captain's chair flanked by seats for his chief officers, computer panels and stations at each interior wall, and before you a broad viewscreen that shows the wide expanse of space rushing towards you. Have you ever wanted to be a starship captain for a day? Well, here's your chance. Feel free to roam around, but try not to touch anything shiny.

[OOC: The Bridge isn't usually available for in-game posts, so if you've ever wanted to play there, here's your chance!]

'Nerys.' A name that only a very select few addressed the Intendant by, and there were certainly none of that circle here, on the other side of the mirror. Which could mean only one thing. There was someone here who knew Kira Nerys, and knew her well, if she had to guess, because she couldn't quite imagine her other being too free with her own name.

She turned, a cheery smile on her lips, a bright air about her, to evaluate the source of that call- and then her eyes widened at the face that greeted her. A young woman, beautiful, and- her features! Half Cardassian and half Bajoran? Ooooo, now this could be interesting, given the history of this side's Bajor. That Nerys hadn't mentioned this young woman; which was a shame, given how lovely she was.

Now the real question was... how to greet Nerys' beautiful, young friend. She would start out simple.

"Yes?"

It was her. But somehow different--she may have been somewhat sheltered, but she could tell. Body language is one thing she's learned how to read fairly well, and the tone is different as well.

Finally, Nerys would've said her name in response, she was sure.

She'd never heard of Nerys' accident, being sent to the other side. She didn't even know that the mirror world existed. She certainly didn't know what to make of this woman who looked like her dearest friend.

"It...it is you," she says blankly, simply unable to think of anything else. Because it was, and yet it wasn't at the same time. Prophets, it was strange.

"It is." Simple, again, with that bright grin focused on the other woman. It was clear, through her hesitating words, the look in her eyes, that she knew something was different, something was- off. Not that she would expected any less of one of Nerys' close friends, her other self was intelligent. Shrewd in her choices- in some ways. So she chuckled, tilting her body just slightly, to display her elegant profile to the girl, and continued;

"And it's not."

There was a light laugh, almost a giggle, and she straightened.

"I am Kira Nerys. Just perhaps not the Kira Nerys you're familiar with."
