TEST DRIVE #6 - The Bridge and Ten Forward

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprise's off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. The Bridge: Well, aren't you a lucky duck? You've found yourself in hallowed quarters. Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. Now you're in a room that could be some kind of command center or control room; there's a captain's chair flanked by seats for his chief officers, computer panels and stations at each interior wall, and before you a broad viewscreen that shows the wide expanse of space rushing towards you. Have you ever wanted to be a starship captain for a day? Well, here's your chance. Feel free to roam around, but try not to touch anything shiny.

[OOC: The Bridge isn't usually available for in-game posts, so if you've ever wanted to play there, here's your chance!]

"Ahh! Directed telepathy! That would explain how you can communicate without some kind of mouth. That is wonderful! I haven't had to deal with a telepath in quite a while!"

The Doctors excitement is obvious, but what may surprise the newly arrived alien is the fact that The Doctor starts to transmit something telepathically back.

Testing testing. Three gamma zed alpha, can you hear me, my good blue centaur being. Who are you and what is your species called?

Well, that was one question answered--either this man was not Human, or there was some other variable here that Alloran couldn't name. Time travel wasn't exactly unknown to Andalites--the Time Matrix proved that much, and look where chasing that had gotten him. There were theories about parallel universes, but all research into those avenues had been put on hold during the War.

But it seemed comparing Andalites to 'centaurs' was universal.

Having his thought-speech returned in kind was something new altogether.

Alloran bows his head in greeting, deciding for now to omit his War Prince title. There was no war any longer, and he was tired of it.

<My name is Alloran-Semitur-Corass, and I am an Andalite.>

"Andalite...An-da-light...And-a-lite..." The Doctor says out loud, letting the syllables roll over his tongue a few times. "Well then, Alloran Semitur Corass, may I welcome you aboard the USS Enterprise D. Where, if I'm not mistaken, you may call home for the immediate future."

This last bit is said with a distinct bitterness.
