TEST DRIVE #6 - The Bridge and Ten Forward

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprise's off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. The Bridge: Well, aren't you a lucky duck? You've found yourself in hallowed quarters. Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. Now you're in a room that could be some kind of command center or control room; there's a captain's chair flanked by seats for his chief officers, computer panels and stations at each interior wall, and before you a broad viewscreen that shows the wide expanse of space rushing towards you. Have you ever wanted to be a starship captain for a day? Well, here's your chance. Feel free to roam around, but try not to touch anything shiny.

[OOC: The Bridge isn't usually available for in-game posts, so if you've ever wanted to play there, here's your chance!]

Clearly he is being recognized which isn't a surprise if they hail from the same time period. If only Spock knew.

There is just a simple furrow of his brow and a minute tilt of his head. "Pavel Chekov." He repeats, clearly confusion in that usually neutral. "Of the starship Enterprise NCC 1701 under Captain James T. Kirk?"

Fascinating. If that's true it may very well mean that he has entered Spock Prime's version of the universe. The only troublesome notion behind that is. . how does he get back? Either way he helps himself to the seat across from Chekov. "I am not aware of any other crew members, but that does not mean they are not on board on a different deck."

"Affirmative," Chekov responded. However, his confusion mirrored Spock's. He had never dealt with anything like this before. It was so strange to be talking to a younger Spock. They were both trying to seek out answers that neither of them probably had.

If they were both from different times...what times were they at? Was Chekov in Spock's time or was Spock in Chekov's time? Or were they both in an entirely different time all together? Here Chekov was hoping that this wasn't going to be so complex...Nothing on the Enterprise was ever so simple, unfortunately.

"Meaning you just arrived here just as I had." He stared at his glass of vodka as he tried to sort things out.

"Same accent and everything." A small nod of his head. "Impeccable." If there are any other crew members from their respective ships who is more likely to turn up, or is there even the slightest chance of that occurring. Such a phenomenon is not impossible. No, Spock Prime proved the principle of wormholes when he entered this Spock's galaxy. Perhaps he has somehow passed through one or they both did?

Curious indeed. "Correct. I am unsure what brought me aboard this ship, but I have come to the conclusion there is no cause for alarm. There are other civilians on board as well as Starfleet officers."

"Aye, it just bothers me that I don't remember coming here or understanding what our purpose here is. Perhaps we will eventually get a briefing...?"

Before continuing on he paused to take a drink. "Perhaps you can explain a little more about how you're familiar with my crew...and I know nothing about yours?" He glanced up at Spock with a hopeful look of getting some kind of answers instead of more questions.

"I would most certainly agree with that." Spock nods. "A briefing would help immensely but, as I am sure we are not the first to arrive, that may not come as soon as either of us would prefer."

"I'm not familiar with your crew extensively. I know very little. Spock Prime, the one you are familiar with, stresses that he not give me details as he does not want to affect the decisions I make." A shrug of his shoulders. "From my point of view, Spock Prime crossed over into my timeline through a black hole after attempting to save Romulus from their sun about to go supernova. In doing so he created an alternate universe as his arrival spurred events that were not meant to happen."

"Sounds like something he would say...." Chekov simply shook his head. The story that Spock told about the Romulus was pretty new to him and he was rather curious to know more about it. He doubted Spock would provide more information since it would be sensitive material to either side.

Chekov was somewhat familiar with alternate universes as he remembered the the one adventure where Captain Kirk and his team ran into darker versions of themselves and the only way to move up in rank was to kill the person above you and no one trusted one another.

"Do you wish to investigate the ship or do you have more questions that you wish to be answered?" Chekov suggested as he finished his glass of vodka.
