TEST DRIVE #6 - The Bridge and Ten Forward

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprise's off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. The Bridge: Well, aren't you a lucky duck? You've found yourself in hallowed quarters. Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. Now you're in a room that could be some kind of command center or control room; there's a captain's chair flanked by seats for his chief officers, computer panels and stations at each interior wall, and before you a broad viewscreen that shows the wide expanse of space rushing towards you. Have you ever wanted to be a starship captain for a day? Well, here's your chance. Feel free to roam around, but try not to touch anything shiny.

[OOC: The Bridge isn't usually available for in-game posts, so if you've ever wanted to play there, here's your chance!]

Gaheris reached up and rubbed his clean-shaven face, wondering about Telemachus's. Odd, subtle difference. He wasn't as hardened military as Telemachus noted.

"How did you come to the past?" he really had too many questions, and couldn't pick which one he wanted to ask first. That just managed to work it's way out before any of the others.

"I'm not entirely sure. I was in the Andromeda, and then I wasn't. It was like a tesseract, being disassembled and reassembled again." A bit like showing up on Seefra, but Gaheris wouldn't get the reference. And Dylan and Trance weren't to blame for this one.

"I can't say I'm familiar with the experience-" he confirmed as he looked at Telemachus's boneblades. He didn't know one day he'd lose one, that it would be Dylan that broke it off.

"I am..." Speechless. He didn't know what to say. He'd been presented before what was probably his genetic reincarnation. "Maybe someone wanted to prove a point. But I'd prefer speaking where there weren't so many-" very suspicious "-strangers."

"Consider yourself lucky. It's not a pleasant experience, being reassembled. "

Telemachus looked around, noting that they indeed were not alone and this wasn't exactly the best time for talking. Surely Captain Picard wanted his bridge back, at least before someone else unexpectedly showed up on it.

"Why don't I show you to Ten Forward. It's the ship's bar. They have ....adequate drinks--if you request ones that actually have real alcohol in them."

He led the way to the turbo lifts.

"This ship has no ladders or open exits?" He sounded almost affronted as he asked, but followed Telemachus into the turbolift with the caution of a cat being introduced to a new house. Once he was inside, he kept near the door and eyed the walls for useful and suspicious seams.

"One should insist on being served the best," he said to Telemachus, assuming that was what he meant by substandard drinks. Not what the true issue was. Of course, a Nietzschean (especially one of his blood) shouldn't be pampered but they should know when to demand the best.
