TEST DRIVE #6 - The Bridge and Ten Forward

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprise's off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. The Bridge: Well, aren't you a lucky duck? You've found yourself in hallowed quarters. Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. Now you're in a room that could be some kind of command center or control room; there's a captain's chair flanked by seats for his chief officers, computer panels and stations at each interior wall, and before you a broad viewscreen that shows the wide expanse of space rushing towards you. Have you ever wanted to be a starship captain for a day? Well, here's your chance. Feel free to roam around, but try not to touch anything shiny.

[OOC: The Bridge isn't usually available for in-game posts, so if you've ever wanted to play there, here's your chance!]

She trails after. She doesn't know why she's sad all of a sudden. This should be exciting they're in space! Why doesn't she see it that way.

"How did we get in space?"

It's normal to pass from the Land of No Magic to anywhere else such as the Enchanted Forest, or Neverland but--this just seemed far-fetched.

"Better yet where are we going?"

Henry asks the bartender for something with alcohol in it since he had no idea how things worked here. And he couldn't really answer Belle's question with any certainty either.

"No idea." He shrugged, appearing not phased by the situation.

Belle doesn't bother to ask for anything. She just slips into a chair at an empty table.

"It'd be nice if people started to ask before ripping people from one world to the next." He's taking this rather well which is even stranger. It makes her question if he's been here before.

Henry sips at the drink he got. It doesn't have the same kick but it works as a distraction and that's the main reason he got it.

"I agree. But where's the fun in that for the bad guys?"

"They have more willing victims?" She tries to make that sound better but it doesn't work. Belle sighs.

"I could use a break from being a part of other people's plans." A slight frown but it doesn't stay for long. "Can I ask you about your life?" Her tone a little timid. "I'd like to know, but only if you want to share. Since we're stuck here I figure we have all the time in the world."

"From my experience, it's more fun when the victims aren't willing." He shrugged again, worried about her other question.

"You can ask." That didn't mean he would answer. He's on edge now, scared of her reaction to how he got his magic in the first place. At least he didn't have the same crocodile skin Rumplestiltskin had.

She chuckles. "Don't start forming bad habits."

She tilts her head to the side. "Well do you have a family now? I figure you're old enough to be married if you've met anyone yet." She smiles. "What are some of your hobbies now? I mean the sky's the limit. There are a lot of years missing between the both of us."

Oh, if only she knew. He chuckled too to hide the irony.

"I have a wife and a son." He pulls out his wallet from his back pocket, pulling out a photograph of the three of them. "Alleyne and Noah. He's about six in this photo so it's quiet old. But I think he'll always be that age to me." Certain magical abilities don't help that.

"As for hobbies, I don't really do that much. I run the pawn shop now. Noah's actually the sheriff. And the rest of my free time I spend with my family."

"They're darling." She leans in to take a closer look at the picture. "I wish I could meet them." And she is the most sincere when she says that. She does find it odd he took over the pawnshop, but perhaps Rumpel left it to him to keep all those magical items in the family and away from others.

"Do you spend all your time in Storybrooke or can we still not cross the town line in the future?" From her point in time it was just a wall surrounding the town but who knows. They haven't had much luck leaving regardless.

"You do. Noah adored you at that age." He winked. All the grandparents and great-grandparents had spoilt him rotten. Not to mention his own mother. Henry sometimes feels like the only one not under the kid's magic spell.

"Personally, yes. I don't see any reason to leave when my family is in town. But it is possible for others to leave so there are descendants all over the east coast now. At least. I haven't really been able to keep in touch with them all so who knows how far we've spread." He laughs and puts the photo back so it's safe.

It brings her a lot of happiness to hear that as she's sure she wouldn't exactly be having children of her own. After what happened to Neal she crossed that off her list of things to do in life. That had more to do with Rumpel suffering the loss of the child and her not wanting to bring that back up by trying to have one of their own. "I would think so."

"Storybrooke is small. While I wouldn't want to leave I still want to see the rest of the world. I've become less and less of a fan of small spaces." From being confined to a castle (somewhat), then imprisoned, and then trapped again in town. She about had it with limitations.

"Oh no, that makes absolute sense. Very you." He didn't say whether she did that or not. Telling her everything would be boring. Nothing to experience. And it saved more questions.
