TEST DRIVE #2 - The Holodeck/Ten Forward

Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.
Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.
OR
2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!
Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?
[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Door number 1 please!
He was flipping through his notebook while he ate. There was no rest for a detective with a case to solve. He only glances over at the burst of color sweeping into the room, and since it was no one he recognized, he went back to his food.
shotaro no it's not a door you want to open
She drops into the seat across from him, waving over toward the bar. "Helloooo! Service!" She looks back to the young man, shaking her head. "It's sad isn't it? The state of service on a ship like this! For an ambassador no less! I'm going to have to talk to Jean-Luc about his staff."
he's just going to start counting his own sins now
He closed the notebook and shifted a bit to stow it safely away in his back pants pocket. Even if she wasn't wearing the badge everyone else that actually belonged on the ship had on, she definitely looked and acted like she belonged here.
He finished chewing and swallowed. He decided to take his pick from the variety of comments that washed his way from the woman. "Ambassador?"
no subject
Her hurt expression only lasts a moment, before the smile spreads across her face again. "Lwaxana Troi. Betazed Ambassador, daughter of the Fifth House of Betazed, the Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, and Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed. And you are...?"
no subject
He struggled for a moment with that explanation, and finally got to his feet and introduced himself properly with a bow. "My name is Shotaro Hidari, Ms. Ambassador. Ma'am." How does one usually talk with an ambassador? Finally he wrenched his head on straight again. "I'm just a small-time detective from a small town from a small world in this great big galaxy of ours. It's a pleasure to have lunch with you."
