TEST DRIVE #2 - The Holodeck/Ten Forward

Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.

Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.

OR

2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!

Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?

[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Open til next month's test drive!]

"Yes," is an easy acceptance, as she sat down in the chair. "Thank you."

Placing her hot chocolate before her as she settled. "Hopefully it was good?"

There's edge of it widening her smile. A touch of flattery, with hope, even though there is some sincerity to the question underneath. She was proud of the work she'd done here, even if it had taken her far from her home world and its customs. Though, maybe, it did say something that she had gravitated to here first, with several choices all throughout the room.

"Only good, Counsellor."

He sets the PADD down on the table, too.

"And I'm half-Betazoid, you know our stance on frankness and honesty."

"I did see that in your file." From arrival notes, to their full medical check-in's.

The special notes of Starfleet personnel who were beginning to appear as Q's behest as well now.

If there is a brief thrill of being pleased at his point, it's that sometimes it is a refreshingly direct clarity compared to the duality of thought and action of most of the crew. Of humans, in general. Even as it was something she'd learned to adjust to, and even more how to closely work with, and work through, to help them.

Deanna nodded to the PDD as he placed if down on the table. "Has there been any news of your ship?"

"No," He frowns, slumping back in his chair a bit. "It's like... it's there, but not. The Enterprise is picking her up by her subspace transponder, but whenever we try to make contact... nothing."

He's concerned. Very concerned.

"The captain thinks that this might be Q's doing, also. Plant a false trail, keep my hopes up. It seems like an awful amount of trouble to go through, though. It's possible I may not even be from this dimension."

After all, the Enterprise recognises him, his commission, his service record... everything. It even has details on the Pathfinder. If this was all a ruse, it was a perfectly good and thorough one.
