TEST DRIVE #2 - The Holodeck/Ten Forward

Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.

Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.

OR

2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!

Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?

[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Open til next month's test drive!]

Soubi smiled ever so slightly at the frown of disappointment. Soubi wasn't going to let the pair read anything suggestive. Why type it when you can just say it and hear Ritsuka's response? "You and Youji aren't apart long enough to send texts." Soubi wasn't jealous. He wasn't. >.>

Thank goodness, it was a boiled egg. But still, most pre-teens tended to eat like parasites. An egg or three wasn't going to cut it. Soubi pushed off the wall at last and held out his beer. "One swallow should calm you down a little. I'll get you something to eat. There are some game-looking things on the unoccupied tables if you want to look at them." At least one person had escaped Natsuo's interest and some potential mental scarring.

Yup. Soubi's a great guardian. 'here, have some beer'

"That's right. Our bond is inseparable. Even if our names haven't shown up yet." He missed Youji already. Who was going to wash his back when they took baths? He was going to have to take a bath alone! And sleep alone! This was totally unacceptable. He was NEVER away from Youji. The boy started to sulk a little.

Now more than a tiny bit anxious(not that he'd show it to dumb old Soubi), Natsuo took a swig...or three of the beer. He didn't want stupid games. He wanted Youji. But...in Youji's absence maybe stupid old games would be okay. He followed Soubi like a demented baby chick. At least Soubi was getting him something to eat so he wouldn't collapse and die. It was good to have slaves.

Bit of a belated Warning: Alcohol use and mentions of child abuse and sex.

Soubi was rather proud of himself for not rolling his eyes. But at least Natsuo was keeping his mind off the long-term issue for a few minutes. And then the youngster pouted by drinking the rest of his beer. Well, it would make him drowsy but not enough to fall asleep just from the alcohol. And if he ate well enough even that would be mild. Perhaps it was better that Natsuo simply followed after him like a chick than wandering around again. Children with beer on their breath made a bad impression and this one in particular was far too blunt.

Now. A machine with many buttons and a space that looked like a soda fountain... but no levers or cups. But he'd heard enough people speaking commands to it that he didn't give the buttons more than a scan for anything that stood out. After only three tries he managed to get a plate of steaming chicken pad-Thai and a glass of milk for Natsuo. For himself there was a rice omelet and another beer. And he even managed to obtain chopsticks! The drinks were given to Natsuo to carry while the hot plates were firmly Soubi's domain.

It was definitely a good thing that Natsuo was following Soubi around. Who knows what kind of trouble the boy might get into otherwise. What he might say? Unfortunately for Soubi he was the closest thing the Zero had to a guardian at the moment(not that Nagisa was much better. Nagisa told them to go die, Soubi just drugged them with 1/2 cup of vodka. Much better).

If Natsuo suspected the previous drugging he might have sniffed the milk. But, as it was, Soubi wasn't a complete idiot and took care of them when Nagisa wasn't. The boy watched as Soubi picked up the hot plates and sat down, waiting for the obligatory cool down so his mouth didn't burn and blister.

"I don't want to eat without Youji." Technically Natsuo didn't want to do anything without Youji.

Soubi's keeping the plates in front of himself as Natsuo chose a table for them to sit at. It was easier to test how hot they were without reaching over constantly. And there was no alcohol in the milk since his beer had already been raided. Though the fact that he'd had to specify cold cow milk and plain hot pad-Thai was mildly amusing.

"If you die of starvation before seeing him again it will leave him defenseless," Soubi pointed out calmly. He looked over at the oddly three-tiered chess-looking stand and after a moment one long finger poked it. At once a number of familiar-looking pieces appeared.
