TEST DRIVE #2 - The Holodeck/Ten Forward

Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.

Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.

OR

2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!

Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?

[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Open til next month's test drive!]

Andros wished he could ask the man to take off the uniform for a minute and tell him what he really thought. But, that was impossible, at least for Andros, just taking off his uniform didnt mean he stopped being a Space Ranger. He was certain it was the same for Terzen.

"Well we might as well make the best of it. It's actually rather enjoyable to not be shot at."

Honestly, that's what Terzen really thought. It isn't Betazoid nature to hide, or lie. The culture has a history of openness to the point of being rude. Trill are often not secretive, either.

"The Enterprise is quite the luxury. Just what you'd expect from the Federation's flagship."

"Flagship? I had heard that you're a member of a community of different worlds." Honestly, Andros had a hard time believing that it worked. It was just so foreign from what was going on in his universe.

"We havent had anything like that work for a few planets, much less the number you seem to be talking about." Honestly, Andros was a little envious.

"Starfleet is the Federation's exploratory and peace-keeping force. The Enterprise is one of the most technologically advanced Starships to have been built."

He smiles.

"And, trust me, it took a few centuries to get to this point."

Maybe they were doing it wrong, maybe they needed a more unified front. But that was easier said than done.

"It sounds like you've had the luxury of time on your side." It was hard to create thing when everyone around you was constantly tearing it down.

"Perhaps." He can feel the emotions coming from the other man, even if his expression doesn't betray them.

"I'm not human, I don't know the hardships humanity had to endure in order to become a member of the Federation, or to even found it, as they did."

He shifts, leaning forward slightly.

"And I'm not at liberty to impart with too much information. I am bound by the Prime Directive. Do not interfere with the natural progression of other species."
