TEST DRIVE #2 - The Holodeck/Ten Forward

Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.

Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.

OR

2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!

Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?

[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Open til next month's test drive!]

Savil snorted. She was hardly one to giggle behind her hand and flutter a delicate fan, she was certainly the type to laugh when she meant it. But a ship for space? It was probably a good idea to keep her away from the windows for a little while. But with the return of his odd weapon to the holster and her shield came down from around them. Except for her personal shields of course.

"I really don't want to know the details on how that's possible. People I can deal with at least no matter what they look like as I've seen stranger things over the years," Savil was willing to admit that openly of course. Why hide it? Especially not when a softly glowing blue ball drifted over to circle Jack with the speed of the curious rather than the alarmed. "I'm a bit more worried about Kellan there than the unGifted temper flares here. She's lost quite a bit of weight."

It's better not to have a shield thrown up between them.

Not because he is planning on attacking her, not because he has any fear of her. His particular ability makes it difficult for anyone to do any lasting damage to him. But the pressure's dissipated now, and the shield comes down, which means that neither of them is quite so ready to jump.

Good. Because though Savil is clearly capable, she didn't make any move against him until he'd drawn his gun.

Although a moment later, as he's about to try to offer up something about the spaceship to make it seem less crazy for her when a little blue glowing ball floats up to circle Jack, making him start and stare at it.

"And this is Kellan?"
