Test Drive #7 - Ten Forward and Captain's Yacht

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprise's off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. The Captain's Yacht: Oooh, you sneaky stowaway! You've found yourself in a very exclusive part of the ship: Captain Picard's personal craft, used for short jaunts when a shuttle just won't do. (One must retain some decorum, after all.) It may not be as large as the Enterprise itself, but there are sure to be some surprises aboard once people start snooping.
[OOC: The Captain's Yacht is located at the very base of the Enterprise's saucer portion, so if you put someone in there you can also play them trying to get back to somewhere they know!]
Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
She recalled hearing the beeping on her communicator (and just as she was about to do a backhand flip), remembered jumping off the beam like it was nothing. Only when she was in the relative quiet behind the lockers did she answer Zordon's call-Zedd and Rita turned Adam's lantern into a monster and they needed her help to fight it off.
It would figure of course.
Only when Kimberly pressed the button on her communicator, the scenery changed without her even needing to teleport. This wasn't the command center, this wasn't even the park. She was in another sort of bar..one that definitely didn't look like the youth center.
"Um...serously, this whole dimension hopping is getting really old." Atleast everyone here looked relaxed. Dimension hopping was one thing-dimensions full of hostile creatures were entirely something else.
Carefully, she made her way over to the bar, trying to not look like she was freaking out. "Hello...someone mind telling me where I am?" Maybe how the hell to get back to Angel Grove.

He was in the middle of placing his order and thanking the bartender that he heard the familiar voice. And because a Power Ranger like himself could never reject a request for help, he launched into an explanation before he registered the voice.
"Hello! I know it's probably confusing, but you're aboard the starship Enterprise, summoned by an omnipotent..."
He trailed off then, realizing exactly who this was. Instead of explaining further, he staggered forward, his voice lilting tentatively.
"...Kimberly?"
no subject
Kimberly instantly turned around, looking for the familiar owner of the voice, frowning even as she was relieved to see him. "Billy...what is this place? You said a star ship?" Least that's what it sounded like..but why? "I thought you were in the park, with Adam and the others-what about the lantern monster?"
It couldn't have been a joke. In the time she knew him, Zordon never really exhibited a sense of humor, let alone the need to pull this sort of prank.

No. That wouldn't happen if he was careful. He gently laid a hand on her arm, mostly to reassure himself.
"Yes, and we're in the 24th century. I know that sounds impossible, but as I was saying, there's an omnipotent being gathering people from across time and space for his own amusement. We're far from the only unwilling passengers."
no subject
"Billy, I've traveled through the past several times." She tried to smile and reassure him. "I mean, suppose the future's the only way to go." It was her turn to frown. "Wait..so you're saying, all these people here-we're all just here cause some overlord got bored?"
That sucked, but atleast, no one looked in danger.
no subject
He could go on all day, but he had enough sense to restrain himself.
"And yes, unfortunately, that's it. We're here until he decides to release us---either of us could disappear at any second."
And he had some experience with that.
no subject
She also really needed to sit down at what he said next. The implications that they could be there for however long-was a lot to take in.
"Okay, that's a lot.." She felt compelled to lower her head into her arms on the bar top. "Hello tunnel vision." That was never a good sign.
no subject
"But the good news is that the crew isn't entirely at his mercy. There are people working on giving us the chance to return home. I'm trying to persuade them to allow me to assist...it's not gone far yet, but it's something."

"Umm.." The cup was pretty, and pink. "Thanks.." She accepted the cup. "Any idea how long we'll be away-kinda have things to do."
Like helping her friends kick some monster ass and get Adam's lantern back.
Re: Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
Okay. Friend. Teammate? Andros' eyes went to her communicator. Power Ranger. One of Zordons.
One way to find out.
Andros pressed the button on his own communicator and waited for hers to beep.
Re: Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
Habit made her look around, both for a quiet place to talk as well as see if anyone noticed her response. Whatever Billy told her, she wasn't really ready to go all open just yet.
She was nearly into the back of the bar when she saw a guy with his hand on his wrist as well, his..communicator..making the same noise as hers. "Hey.." She kept her voice down. "The hell are you trying to prove?"
Re: Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
"I assume you're the Pink from Billy's team?" Kim should give him credit. He didn't call her a Planetary Ranger yet and made it into some sort of insult. "That leaves us with a Red, Blue, and two Pinks.""Not exactly full stregnth but we've worked with less."
Re: Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
She frowned, trying to make sense of all this. "Firstly, how'd you know Billy," She didn't feel the need to elaborate since it was pretty clear there weren't many Billies that were rangers. "And secondly, what're you doing with rocky's communicator?"
The guy wasn't evil, atleast he hadn't threatened her. His clothing and comm color was a give away that he was the Red he was talking about, but what about Rocky? Did something happen that he had to be replaced?
Re: Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
"First of all, I don't know who this Rocky is. Or why anyone would name their child after a piece of stone. I got my communicator from T.J. I think he got his from Tommy. And Billy arrived here the same time I did. We've been here for a bit. If you know Billy, then you're probably around the same time period as him. It was the year 2000 for me."
That was a better explanation than why he had talked to Billy on Aquitar and why Billy couldn't remember it. That was a conversation he wanted to have just as much as 'what happened to Zordon?'
Re: Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
"Mind telling me who T.J. is?" He knew Tommy, that was good atleast. "What'd you mean the year 2001, it's '95 back.." She trailed off, trying to make sense and piece things together.
Billy told her this was the 24th century..so, if that was the case, then time didn't exactly apply here. "Oh, screw this..this is what Billy was talking about us being all collected here, wasn't he? Some 'omnipresent being collecting us like living action figures."
She might not be the brain that Adam, Billy or even Trini were, but she wasn't dumb either.
Re: Kimberly Hart | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers | scene 1
"We're being taken from all over. Different times, different dimensions, different universes. The fact that I'm from your future isn't that surprising. But yes. Billy is correct, as is your assumption. But...whats an action figure?"
