TEST DRIVE #10 - Cetacean Pool and Ten Forward
#1
Option 001. Cetacean Pool/Aquatics Lab: Of all the places in the world, you open your eyes and you find yourself in a medium-sized aquatics laboratory, filled with various living specimens along with various science officers bustling about trying to maintain order. There's much to explore here (and hopefully, in the crew's opinion, not break), but the main attraction is the large pool at the far end of the lab; enormous but tanklike in appearance, it contains several dolphins happily swimming about, seemingly without a care in the world.
2
Option 002. Aboard the Enterprise, Ten Forward: You have no idea what just happened. One minute you were home, and now you're on a spaceship, in the middle of a crowded room. It looks like a bar. There are people eating and drinking, some in uniform, others not. Some are clearly aliens.
You've managed to land in Ten Forward a long bar with barstools and a bartender, tables sprinkled throughout, and the far wall is nothing but windows out to space. It looks like a nice lounge, low conversation making the room hum.
Better ask some questions and find out where you are, or just tap the closest person on the shoulder and try to make friends. The bar is open.

Hope this is ok?
Still, one thing was missing. Three things, in fact. Howard was lonely. Oh, he had no problem charming beautiful aliens with green skin or blue hair, but forming friendships were harder to facilitate. Let everyone think of him as the suave engineer out of time. They weren't exactly wrong. Aliens with odd hair or skin were not who he was looking for either. No, he missed the ones that mattered most. Peggy. Jarvis. Steve. Names he never thought he would have a chance to say again.
Which was why he was so surprised when he saw her. She was not supposed to be here. In fairness, he would be the first to say she would fit in better here than at the SSR with a bunch of men who couldn't see her true potential.
Moving over to his table, he pulled out a chair and made himself comfortable. "I think I might be dreaming, miss. If I ask nicely, will you pinch me?"
always, he's her best friend.
"I wouldn't even do that if you asked me salaciously." She closed the space between them and bent to press a kiss to his cheek. "Bloody good to see you."
yay! I got a jarvis to tag in too
And maybe get another hug if she was handing them out so freely.
"Good to see you too, Peg. Did you miss me?" He chuckled and looked over at her, raising an eyebrow. "If I asked you that, you'd just slap me. Bit of a lost cause there." Turning away from Peggy, he surveyed the room, taking in all of the patrons there. "Odd kind of place for us to find ourselves in. Are you sure I'm not dreaming?"
Re: yay! I got a jarvis to tag in too
"If by miss you mean that I haven't been asked to commit treason or save the world, then yes." But she was smiling when she said it so Howard could rest assured it was Peggy being Peggy and nothing bad. She followed his gaze, understanding full well how this was a culture shock for him. "As I am fully and modestly dressed,I think we're safe in saying you're not dreaming."
