Character's Name: Irian t'Aumne
Character's Journal: [personal profile] aehallh
What Have They Been Up To This Month?: The usual. Killing time in the gym. Probably refining her ch'Rihan/Romulus program on the holodeck. Trying to figure out how to get the replicator to make herbdraft (her people's equivalent of tea) that actually tastes like the stuff she's used to back home. Attempting to avoid worrying about what her crew is getting up to when she's not there to keep an eye on them.
Type of CR You're Looking For: Friends. Enemies. Frenemies. Sparring partners. People she can talk about weapons design with. Starfleet folks to either make assumptions about her or be nicer to her than she usually expects given, you know, the time period. Klingons, if you don't mind that she'll probably be, uh, a little chilly toward you.

idk man, whatever, come at me.

... sneaks up on you and drops Finnick on you.

They need to be a thing. I'm collecting spies for Finnick. Not that he actually is a spy, but he uses his patrons to collect information, so he's as good as, to be honest.

(They'll go with Dylan's collection of starship commanders.)

Irian doesn't really like being called a former spy but lbr she totally was one. I think their CR could be really interesting, especially since she knows what it's like to be on the other side of the coin and be an active part of an oppressive system of government. Part of her job, aside from designing more and better ways to kill people, was being assigned to military starships to watch their commanders and crews for any sign of potential disaffection with the Romulan Imperial government. She got a few people demoted or, in a couple cases, executed this way. At the time, of course, she believed she was doing the right thing. Loyalty! Duty! All that stuff. The Tal Shiar ran a great propaganda game. She saw through it eventually, which is part of how she got to where she is now, but yeah, suffice it to say she knows what it's like to be on both sides of the horrible totalitarian regime equation.

Anyway tl;dr yes let's do this thing.

Ha! I'm not sure Finnick would be overly fond of me saying he needs to meet spies because he is one himself, either. But canonically, he uses his patrons' guilt about using him to leverage secrets out of them, and then uses what he's learned to destroy Capitol high society.

Sorry, kid, you're a spy.

I LOVE YOUR IRIAN TLDR. ALWAYS. We should definitely do this, wow.

(Finnick actually used to buy into the myth of how wonderful it was to win the Hunger Games. He was never overfond of the regime, but he didn't always hate it as a revolutionary. Panem, too, runs a great propaganda game, and he was 14.)

Irian will totally insist she was just a weapons researcher. Who happened to be trained in infiltration, surveillance, sabotage, cryptography, interrogation, and... yeah no she was a spy.

And at the time she joined the Tal Shiar, she was about 20. Which, while physically and legally an adult (barely), is the Rihannsu mental/behavioral equivalent of thirteen or fourteen. Soooooo yeah. They get you young. :')

We do need to find some excuse for them to meet, though. Do you have any of his posts you want her on? You're always free to drop him on one of hers, too. Or we can come up with something new. :)

Well, Finnick was 12 when he started being trained for the Hunger Games, and he was in the Games when he was 14, so yeeeah, he got gotten young too.

Hmmm! His last post was his workout one, you can send her there if you want but I know she's doing a lot of working out lately, but I can keep an eye out for her and throw him at her sometime.

OR we can come up with something new, yes. :) I am eeeeasy.

Where does he like to hang out on the ship, besides the gym? I can toss something up putting her in one of those areas and he can run into her there. Easy mode is running into each other in Ten Forward, but if he's got any specific places he likes to go...

Actually, his favourite place to hang out is the arboretum (he likes the pond), though he's also learning about the holodecks. :)

But he's been getting out and about and exploring more now that he's not quite so mentally unwell and he's stopped clinging quite so hard to Annie, so if that doesn't work he can find a reason to be just about anywhere!

He cooooould run into her tweaking her ch'Rihan/Romulus holoprogram (the one she started working on in this post). That might be really interesting, actually. Alien planets, Finnick!

Ahhhh that sounds like a great idea! And he's curious about how to make holoprograms because he wants to tweak the beach-vaguely-like-home one he and Annie have made to have his boat in it. ;)
