Food for thought!

[today my food for thought is my answer to today's question, so...]

I got questions. You got answers?

Bam, you're suddenly omnipotent. (you here meaning either your character or you personally. Or both! I like answers) What's the very very first thing you do with your new powers?

for me personally: there was a fancy deli up the street from where I went to school that made amazing sandwiches, that I still get cravings for in spite of not even having been in the state for twelve years. I'd conjure one up, and if it turned out just like I remember, I'd accept that I am in fact omnipotent and move on to bigger things... like conjuring dessert. They made a fantastic cream-cheese pound cake...

[this is what I get for writing these around lunchtime]

Butch would win big at poker. Just once, to say he did.

He'd end up feeling guilty and giving his winnings back, but hey, just once getting the luck of the deal? I don't think he could resist.

Also, I absolutely have to throw him at your Crichton once his app gets processed. They'd get on famously, I think.

I do believe you are correct, sir! John would love that, and so would I! He'd probably recognize him, though, as long as that's okay?

Funny thing - I'm just binge-watching the series right now, and he made a Blazing Saddles reference in the last episode I watched. ("Nobody move or the white boy gets it!") So yeah, he would - and as always, that's fine.

lol, yep! John loves his pop culture, and Mel Brooks plays a large part in that. Excellent, I'm really excited about this. ^_____^

Sherwood.

It wouldn't even be a wish or a plan.
It slams her heart and head like a sledge hammer.

One second she'd be standing here, the force of the though/longing/utter clarity would hit her, and bam she'd be gone to it.

Aeryn's is more tricky. Especially as she's super logic, super direct, built to adapt, and not given to any flights of fantasy at all (See: John Crichton). Problematic, especially, is that what she would do with that kind of power or ability changes all throughout her canon, because who she is/can be/what she believes(/knows) changes a lot.

But you know, at her base, the main urges still stays the same, too -- a) to be able to protect her friends from the lions and tigers and bears, as John puts it from all the things/people/places that do any number of truly horrifying things to them and b) to find a place where she can belong, now that there isn't one.

Oh man, this question. It seems I have a lot of characters who just want to go home.

John ([personal profile] never_felt_better) at his current place in canon would use his powers to get home. Maybe he'd use them to get everyone else on Moya home, too, but it depends on how complicated things will get (he is not going to give you an army, Sparky!). As he progresses through canon, there are a lot of things he'd do. Take down the Peacekeepers. Keep certain people from dying (ie: change the course of events). Find a way of keeping the people he cares about safe. But he would probably use them to have a constant supply of beer and chocolate, too. What good are powers if you can't use them whenever you want? >_>

Steve ([personal profile] stark_spangled) would seriously entertain going back to the 40s. Stopping Schmidt's plane before things got too far gone. Trying to have a life with Peggy. But at this point in his canon, I'm not sure if he'd go through with it. He'd use whatever powers he's got to protect people and stop war & conflict.

Kate ([personal profile] ikissdhimbck) would save Sam. There is no other choice. She'd save Sam and run the Walkers out of Green Lake, and they'd take over the town living in happiness for the rest of their long days. At her current canon point... let's just say omnipotence would be a very dangerous thing to give an outlaw on the path of vengeance. No one would be safe.

Amy ([personal profile] and_she_waited) would lord it over the Doctor. That's pretty much her only goal. She wouldn't want to change anything, but she would beat the Doctor to fixing things and then be very smug about it all. Who's in charge now, eh Raggedy Man? XD

If ~I~ was omnipotent, I doubt very much I'd use my powers. Maybe to get delicious food whenever I was craving it, because Sasha's answer is the best answer. Mmm, authentic deli food.
