Small plot posts: April Fools: The Briggening + Sickbay logs tonight!

Greetings, Ten Forward!

It's been a crazy week for two of your mods, which means we're running a tad behind schedule. We received a few questions and requests about the fallout from our recent April Fools' event, so I'm here to give you a small update on that... and how it will play into future game plots, muahahaha?

(a) April Fools: The Briggening
For all the mischief-makers who got up to no good during our Mirror Universe plot, we'll be opening up a Brig post tonight where those interested can thread out the fallout or open their characters up to visitors. As previously stated, the effects of Q's Mirror Universe game lasted one week in game time. On the last day, Q set everything wrong back to rights, including any damage that had been done; however, Security was still on the job during this time. If your character got apprehended and placed in the brig, they would have been turned back into their "prime" counterparts while there, and released a day later. After all, anyone under the effects of the event wouldn't have known any better, so it's hardly fair punishing them.

The in-game timing of the Briggening is completely flexible to work around backdated events and when/how you guys wanted your characters to be brought in. Since Security would have been chasing people as soon as the trouble started, whether they caught up to them immediately or not is up to you — as is whether they stayed in the brig the whole time after that, broke out, got recaptured, or whathaveyou. Since there was one request for two separate briggings for the same character/s, you can use the subject lines to specify when exactly your character was brought in if you'd like. Now, here's the fun part:

As part of our plan to advance the overarching plot of the game, the Enterprise crew will be instituting a brand new special security detail which will work independently of Worf's team. Non-Starfleet individuals will be given the opportunity to work Security for the ship under a Federation officer, without having to go through the hoops of joining Starfleet. As the fallout from this event will lead the way into that, characters who weren't affected by the Mirror plot but may have aided the crew in trying to keep order, or apprehend some of the Mirror characters, can jump in here. If you have a character arrest you want to thread out for the extra fun or CR, we've got a couple "security" volunteers willing to tackle taser respectfully escort your characters to the brig. Likewise, if you want to get one of your hero types in on this, you can let others know you're available to tackle taser respectfully escort another character to the brig by leaving a comment right here. If you want the fun arrest story but don't have the threading time, you can also request handwaved CR. You can have arrests happen on your plot posts or in the brig post, there are no hard and fast rules. Use the brig as you see fit to get the CR you're looking for, the post will remain open for as long as there is a need for it so you can backtag, threadhop, and finish up any previous threads you need to before tagging in.

Hit us up in the comments below if you have any questions, to request security or an arrest thread, to volunteer someone, and so forth. Thanks for your patience, guys!

ETA: And the Brig log is up!

(b) A new IC Sickbay log is now up!
Our latest Sickbay log is now up and open for business. Beverly Crusher will be unavailable this month, so if anyone needs the CMO please let us know in the comments below so we can work with you. Medical staff on deck include Sam Wilson, Carson Beckett, Merlin, Bruce Banner, Meh Yewll, volunteers Magneto and Todd the Wraith, and possible appearances from others.

If you're new to the game, it's standard Enterprise procedure to quarantine those who have winked onto the ship until they can be checked for any terrible space diseases. Your character will be required to visit Sickbay for a standard check-up and a vaccine if necessary. Tagging in is optional and can be done at your leisure; if you prefer to handwave your character getting the all-clear from the docs, that is allowed. If you are tagging in, you can specify the name of the doctor you want in the subject line of your tag or leave it OTA, and they'll tag you as soon as they're available. If you haven't made your IC Intro yet and would prefer to do that first, please feel free to backtag on the Sickbay log whenever it is convenient for you. It will remain open as long as there is a need for it. If you would like more details about sickbay, here's the wiki page.

Once your character has been cleared medically, they'll be released from quarantine, assigned permanent rooms, and allowed to move more freely around the ship. Restricted areas are, of course, still off-limits (such as the bridge, engine rooms, conference rooms, etc). Everyone passes through Sickbay once they arrive. Rooming assignments will be posted in the OOC comm over the weekend, and an IC Rooming Mixer will go up next week.

If you have any questions, hit us up in the comments below!
