That would be fun! Thea can also teach Finnick if he mentions just knowing what he picked up from Katniss (and if my memory of the books is right addiction was major among the Victors? That's something Thea would understand as well)

You do remember right, it was, for quite a few of them! And I do headcanon that Finnick has used both party drugs and harder stuff a fair bit himself sometimes and just managed to not actually get addicted because he got smacked down by his mentor/surrogate mother over it before it became a big problem for him. So he'd get that.

My thinking is she's just got lousy coping skills and Oliver's vanishing only made things worse (and she was mostly a party drugs girl but had slips into the nasty stuff when things got too much to handle like the pills from her wreck, which was the first kick in the teeth). And within Arrow proper her trust has been betrayed so many times its not funny.

So maybe an unlikely source of support for both of them?

Sounds like it could be. Finnick dances around the edges of being an utter trainwreck sometimes, and he's done some pretty hard drugs in his time as well as being plyed with party drugs by his charming 'lovers' in the Capitol, so yeah. This sounds good! Should definitely happen!
