Update: Sickbay checkups and Rooming arrangements
Good day, everyone!
The mods have powwowed about the requests you've been leaving for us regarding sickbay check-ups, and have decided to do another party post-style entry like we did for the first round. It occurs to us that we also have quite a number of new medical personnel, so it will also be a good way of getting everyone introduced.
We'll post up a sickbay entry on Thursday (here in the US; it will be Friday for our players in Australia). For this one, the top tag will be from Dr. Crusher so that the new doctors and nurses in the game can come meet her before exams begin. This is mostly for Bashir and Rory, whose players both expressed interest in working in Sickbay (Trance doesn't need to tag here, since she and Beverly can chat more in their current thread). For everyone else who has requested an exam, you may tag into the post and request a doctor if you have a preference, otherwise one will be randomly assigned to you. We will have our returning doctors, Beverly Crusher and Bones McCoy, as well as Trance Gemini and Julian Bashir this round. Tagging into the sickbay post will not be mandatory, but IC your character getting an exam is. Feel free to handwave them going to sickbay, getting a scan and a vaccine, and being sent on their merry way if you prefer not to thread it out. If your character has any serious medical conditions, let us know about them. If you apped a crewman, you're exempt from needing an exam. This is just for people new to the Enterprise.
Please let us know if you have any questions! Of course, if you've already handwaved your character as having their exam, that's A-OK. Everyone should feel free to move at their own pace. After getting their check-up and being cleared to mingle, they'll receive permanent rooming assignments. If your character does not have a room and a roommate, go to this post and request one. We'd like a decent number of characters before doing dice rolls to determine who's rooming with who, just to make things more fun. Remember to let us know if your character has special circumstances (we haven't forgotten the Hutt, and I'm personally working on where he'll end up). Crew, again, are exempt from needing an assigned roommate, but please feel free to mingle when we post up the final IC list. We'd like to have this done by the weekend/early next week, so everyone can start feeling settled.
I think that's all for now. Have we forgotten anything? Need further clarification? Please, drop a comment here and we'll be happy to respond.
