TEST DRIVE #5 - Low Gravity Gymnasium and Ten Forward

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprises' off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. Aboard the Enterprise, The Low-Gravity Gymnasium: The gym is a large room with several alcove-like sections housing the aerobics and martial arts areas, a parrises squares area, an anbo-jyutsu court, and a separate fencing room. While there is normally a zero-gravity area as well, today all of the gym is in zero-gravity conditions.

Zero-gravity can be, well, kind of weird, because it's not like a gradual loss of the pressure holding you to the floor--you may have taken the turbolifts, just expecting to take a leisurely run, or maybe work out with a treadmill to get in some cardio, but the minute you step into the gym you're floating, as is anything you might have been holding or bringing with you.

Do you freak out, start flailing and trying to swim through the air back to where you can escape? Do you make the best of it and tough it out to get your exercise in, or do you start having fun with the sudden game of weightlessness? Pick your personal scenario and have fun with all the other weightless people.

Watching Jack's movements closely (he hasn't seen him in months, though it felt more like an eternity), Akito thinks something is wrong, but can't be sure. Interdimensional travel takes a bit of time to adjust to, after all, so it's likely that's the issue at hand. "Are you alright?" It doesn't hurt to ask anyway.

"And... Ah, I'm glad! Even if you're different, you're still Jack Frost. Guardian of Fun and shepherd of winter! One of the best people a person can be fortunate enough to know. And there's nothing to make up for!" This is one thing Akito tries to stress, though it's difficult to sound stern when you can't stop grinning. "Almost everyone forgets Adstringéndum once they leave, so even if I succeeded in following the Jack I knew to his world, he wouldn't have remembered me either. It happened once before."

Jack looked confused at the question. "Yeah, why?"

He was just thinking, it didn't really concern Akito. And he brushed it off by listening to Akito some more, raising his eyebrows at the thought of everyone forgetting everything when they go home.

"Why do they forget?"

"Ah, you just looked..." He tries to find the right word. "Lost."

Which is understandable, given the situation. Especially when it's this Jack's first time being kidnapped by other dimensions. Akito doesn't expect him to share any insecurities since, to him, they're still basically strangers. It hurts, but having the chance to be friends with Jack makes the hurt easy to ignore.

"I... Nobody really knows for sure. I think it's because whatever moment in time they were taken from their original worlds, they get sent back to that exact moment and so, to them, they never lived through any of it."
