TEST DRIVE #2 - The Holodeck/Ten Forward

Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.
Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.
OR
2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!
Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?
[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Andros knew that look. It was the same look he wore...usually all the time. And that was when there were only 6 people on his ship. Including him. All these people?
"Two heads are better than one." Andros used a phrase he picked up from his teammates. He hoped he used it right.
no subject
He's not going to turn Andros away, though.
"Every time we locate the transponder, get an idea of where she's gone, we can't contact the neighboring Starbases or ships. It's like they aren't even there. Even hailing the Pathfinder on subspace proves pointless."
He's getting slightly frustrated, and understandable. The Enterprise is a magnificent ship, it's crew professional, helpful. Even Captain Picard has gone out of his way to help Terzen locate the Pathfinder... but he has friends on that ship.
"The captain seems to think that it's possible that I'm not from the same dimension as this Enterprise. That this is all an elaborate deception created by Q."
no subject
"It seems reasonable to assume that you could be from another dimension as well---but similar enough that there are overlapping characteristics. In my home universe we have pocket or sub-dimensions. It could be something like that too. Or, it might just be this Q's idea of a game. Maybe Q doesn't want you to contact your ship."
no subject
He straightens, clearing his throat. "Computer." Acknowledging beep. "Access personnel file, T'Karr, Terzen. Basic information readout."
"T'Karr, Terzen. Lieutenant Commander, USS Pathfinder. Chief Tactical and Communications. Trill/Betazoid. Born 2340 on Trill Homeworld. Passed Starfleet Academy with--"
"Cancel." Another bleep as the computer acknowledges that. "It knows everything, but from what I've heard about Q, this could simply just be implanted to make it seem like I'm from here."
And then Terzen picks something up from the man sat opposite him. A... telepathic quality. He reaches out with his mind, carefully, trying not to be obtrusive.
You're telepathic, aren't you?
no subject
The Ranger's instinct was to close everything down, shut the other man out and bury himself so deeply inside his own mind that no one could get in. But one thing Zhane's prolonged absence had taught him was that wasn't a good response. So, Andros took a deep breath, and opened his mind. A tiny, tiny, tiny bit.
Yes...it's been a while since I've talked to anyone else. Okay, sort of a lie. But close enough.
no subject
I'm not human. Almost in response to that thought. My Betazoid half gives me empathic abilities, as well as the potential to communicate with other telepaths. I'm sorry I startled you.
no subject
Out loud, he continued. "I never introduced myself did I? I'm Andros." And with a slight smirk, he added. "Are the security officers following you around too? Or are you blending in?"
no subject
"No, my commission is still active, and the Computer recognises me as a Starfleet Officer. I choose not to go near the command centres, because the chaos in sorting something like this out should be best left to how the crew need to deal with it."
He shifts to relax in his chair.
"Our presence, using the computer, would only detract from the captain's efforts."
no subject
"Why take someone from one ship and put them on another one? What does that do? What's the point?" Andros tried to think. "Then again, most of the times when things like this happen there is no point other than someone got bored and decided to conquer something. Destroying this is apparently fun." Why did he feel nervous that they hadnt gotten to that stage yet?
I will remember that name, thank you.
no subject
He frowns.
"This dance is annoying to more than just you, don't worry. Captain Picard is doing his utmost to get everyone home."
no subject
"Well we might as well make the best of it. It's actually rather enjoyable to not be shot at."
no subject
"The Enterprise is quite the luxury. Just what you'd expect from the Federation's flagship."
no subject
"We havent had anything like that work for a few planets, much less the number you seem to be talking about." Honestly, Andros was a little envious.
no subject
He smiles.
"And, trust me, it took a few centuries to get to this point."
no subject
"It sounds like you've had the luxury of time on your side." It was hard to create thing when everyone around you was constantly tearing it down.
no subject
"I'm not human, I don't know the hardships humanity had to endure in order to become a member of the Federation, or to even found it, as they did."
He shifts, leaning forward slightly.
"And I'm not at liberty to impart with too much information. I am bound by the Prime Directive. Do not interfere with the natural progression of other species."
