TEST DRIVE #10 - Cetacean Pool and Ten Forward
#1
Option 001. Cetacean Pool/Aquatics Lab: Of all the places in the world, you open your eyes and you find yourself in a medium-sized aquatics laboratory, filled with various living specimens along with various science officers bustling about trying to maintain order. There's much to explore here (and hopefully, in the crew's opinion, not break), but the main attraction is the large pool at the far end of the lab; enormous but tanklike in appearance, it contains several dolphins happily swimming about, seemingly without a care in the world.
2
Option 002. Aboard the Enterprise, Ten Forward: You have no idea what just happened. One minute you were home, and now you're on a spaceship, in the middle of a crowded room. It looks like a bar. There are people eating and drinking, some in uniform, others not. Some are clearly aliens.
You've managed to land in Ten Forward a long bar with barstools and a bartender, tables sprinkled throughout, and the far wall is nothing but windows out to space. It looks like a nice lounge, low conversation making the room hum.
Better ask some questions and find out where you are, or just tap the closest person on the shoulder and try to make friends. The bar is open.

"What's the Jimmy Jab games?" Trever does sound curious about it. They sound interesting... possibly involving jabbing, which is always entertaining.
Veena lets out a rumbling purr and then licks Amy's fingers. Good human. Nice human.

"This dumb contest one of the guys I work with made up." She may say it's dumb but her pride is obvious. "It's like an obstacle course."
She does shift her arms just a bit, so the one bearing Veena's minimal weight won't go numb from inactivity.

Veena shifts with the arm shifting and starts to slide out of her grasp. This causes her to twist around and crawl up Amy's shoulder to flop like a towel over it, claws gently pricking her back.
"She likes you."
no subject
There's gentle under-the-chin scritching for Veena. "Does she normally like people outside the family at all?" She wants to check and see if she's something of a fluke.
no subject
As for Veena.
"She's been funny around girls lately. Possibly eligible for dating girls, to be exact." Which is very irritating when you're trying to get a date and the cat just ups and dislikes them. "I don't know why."
Actually, he has a suspicion as to why, he's just not going to talk about that.

"Where's New York?"
Considering this guy's Irish accent, it's pretty easy to assume he'd know where New York was. And yet he doesn't.
"Oh. Yes. And when she was younger and more agreeable to it, I'd user her as bait. Little kittens wearing ribbons toddling after you in some places ..."
Shameless Trever is shameless.
Meanwhile, Veena continues to tolerate this. She also decides that rubbing her nose is Amy's ear is a good thing.

"Uh..." she struggles to describe it. "Think of the biggest city you can think of. That's what New York is like."
And that? Draws a giggle out of her that she tries to dry up with a cough. "Cats can't be tamed. They have a strict kitty code," she replies.
Veena gets a little nuzzle back for that.
I feel like this should be an actual convo between the two of them in game
"They let us think they can."
SAME. IDK if we can feel free to link to it but I'd love it.
I don't see why not. :D Why restart up awesome CR?
Truth!
Re: Truth!
Then, because why not?
"Do you want to get a horrible non-alcoholic drink with me?"
no subject
She nods. "But only if they have non-terrible non-alcoholic drinks. They have lemonade and frozen cocoa in the future, right?"
no subject
He gives her a half bow, gesturing for her to go before him.
no subject
The gentlemanliness is noted and appreciated, and she slides ahead of him to head to the bar.
