Welcome Post | Meet & Greet

Hey hey, Everyone!

All of our December applicants are in the process of being ... well, processed! Thank you all for your patience, as you know it's been a busy month. We'd like to take a moment to roll out the welcome mat, get to know all our new players and muses, and give you all a very warm hello! We're really looking forward to getting to know everyone!

To get you newbies started, your mods are here as always to answer any questions you may have, so you will see some helpful links below. This space can also be used to meet, mingle, plot CR, and update other players on who you play and where their Intros are. Oh myyyy~!

☆ OOC contact and information: Now that you're here, you can hit up our OOC Contact Post to let us know who you play and what the best means of getting in touch with you are. This post is locked to members of the OOC community, and it is optional. You can leave any fields blank if you don't want that information public, and post what you're comfortable with. All of the mod contact info you may need is right over here, so don't be shy about poking us if you need anything!

☆ Game updates: We strongly recommend you join, follow, and/or track our OOC Community ten_fwd_ooc. It's the best way to stay up to date with the game and any announcements from your mod team as soon as they happen.

☆ Getting started: You can intro your character as soon as you have your game clearance. The standard setup is to be winked into Ten Forward by Q, but you can also tag into someone else's post or enter your character anywhere that isn't in a restricted area (ie: the bridge, engineering, crew operations). If you need special arrangements—such as an immediate Sickbay visit—leave a comment letting us know!
Quarantine, Sickbay, and Rooming: Your characters' first few days on the ship will involve a lax quarantine to guest quarters, Ten Forward, and the lifts/hallways between the two only, until they've passed a basic medical check and had some vaccinations. Due to the holidays, our next Sickbay log is TBA. After their Sickbay visits, characters will be released from quarantine, assigned permanent rooms, and allowed to move more freely around the ship. All new characters are assigned a room and a roommate by random draw. There will be an OOC post about room assignments this weekend, once all pending apps are completed, where we will announce when the IC Roommate Mixer-slash-Holiday Party will go up. This will include a linked IC tour and introduction to the ship.

☆ Plotting and CR: December's plotting meme is located here, or you may leave a comment directly to this post if you're looking for any particular plots or CR for your character. Tag around other people's requests, and make some new connections! Plotting/CR Memes typically go up the last Monday of every month, as do announcements for next month's plots/events and a log swap meet.

☆ Mod Announcements: You can follow mod announcements using the admin: mod post tag here in the OOC comm. Our last announcement can be located here, have a look at your earliest convenience! Please note: AC will run January 10th - 23rd, but all December apps will be exempt until the next AC period.

'ello there!

I am Gann and I am new to the game. I've considered it tons of times but here I am at last, bringing you Clara Oswald from Doctor Who. I have taken Clara from a highly spoilerrific point in her canon, but if you are at all in the know or know people in the know you might... know? So I apologize if you don't know and don't want to know and learn it through threading. but yes... i am taking her from the last eps in Series 9 :D!

Clara is the 12th Doctor's Companion, smart, brave, foolhardy, daring and sassy, but does tend to do what he says (mostly). She's also a really nice person! I could explain her better, but other than saying she is the Impossible Girl, I got nothing at the moment. Mostly cus I am brain dead.

THAT said, me. I'm a Doctor Who/Marvel/TMNT/Coheed & Cambria/MCU/Coulson/Hellboy/Star Wars/Harry Potter/Etc kind of girl who is currently battling a sudden foot infection, which is to say I am sicker than a dog at the moment and a bit worried that I will land in the hospital during Christmas week... SO, I might hold off a moment introing Clara, maybe. We'll see how I am feeling this weekend.

Hi Gann! I'm Morgan with a trio of ladies floating around the comm. Kristen Kringle (Gotham) got her own comment as my newest *points a few comments down* so I'll mention the other two.

Thea Queen (Arrow) is from the last 10 minutes of "Broken Arrow" when she was stabbed by Ra's Al Ghul. At the moment she's mentally a wreck and in recovery from not exactly eating or sleeping in the better part of a month.

Luna Lovegood (HP) is during book/movie 7 when she was saved from Malfoy Manor. I'm also into the idea she was tortured by the Death Eaters. She's basically a kooky teenage witch in recovery from her demons (the bulk she's still working through) but with a huge heart in spite of everything.

All 3 are fair plotting game and will be friending you on Plurk (I'm TheHourMorgana) shortly!

Sorry so late to this! I did get you added to plurk though, and haha, it looks like we share another game together. Your Thea is a delight, though I don't know the character all that well yet. I also need to catch up in Gotham but Kris is adorable. Luna I DO know though haha. What a lovely cast of girls you have!

I'm hoping to be able to bring Clara into the game here shortly, and I would honestly love to see any of your girls interact with her. :D

Hello hello, Gann! I am SO PLEASED to see Clara (and you!) in the game, you have no idea how much it excites me. I am the mun behind Amy Pond, and I have to apologize for not tagging you back in so long -- RL has been doing a number on me as well. I sincerely hope your infection clears up without a trip to the hospital. That's where I was this time last year and it is not fun. So good thoughts! All my good thoughts!

Helpful info: as I mentioned playing with a canon update, Amy in the game is set just after The Doctor's Wife so she (very sadly) won't be recognizing Soufle Girl. This is not going to deter me from having all the Amy+Clara shenanigans, if you are up for it! I have been dying to play off of one for a long time now. Canon update, if all goes accordingly, will happen in January.

Oh my goodness. Sorry so long in a reply. That thing that was happening ended up being a ER trip to the hospital today, so we're still working out the details now. Looking at another surgery though, which has me on a delay here.

And don't apologize at all for a late tag back! I don't mind! I'm so excited for Amy, you have no idea haha. BUt man, what a fun update you're going for. Clearly Clara and Amy need to go run around and ~~give the Doctors all duel heartattacks~~ and get into trouble together.

And yeah it does look like we have a lot of related fandoms! Oiy, my interest in Coulson is everything. Everything. I love that man. He can do no wrong ~~LIES. He can do wrong but i dont want to admit it, my dumb baby~~, and yeah.... I always have interests. Always. He's my forever MCU love.

Hello! At first I was like "I can't say I know who this is!" Then I read, canon OC! Ah ha! That is a horse of a different color hehe. So I read a bit of her info, she seems pretty interesting. Poor Twelve.

Oh! Yes that's true sorry about the confusion! XD

But yeah despite some differences in tactics, their personalities and priorities seem to me to resonate quite a lot. I'm looking forward to them butting heads and maybe figuring out how to work together, and Clara either mediating or just facepalming at them.

Hello! Thank you for the greeting. More Who Cast is always a good thing, I like to say! This season was fun, I think. At least, I enjoyed it! But I have the worst crush on Twelve ~~And Ten, and Eleven, and Nina, and, and, and... yeah, just the Doctor, I guess~~. I hope I enjoy it as well! Everyone has been very friendly :D

So I ended up at the ER today, and I will more than likely be going into surgery here in the near future (aka: week or so). So I am def going to be slow. I'm starting to look into bring Clara in but I might be tag slow. What a horrible way to start a game, but I am so grateful you all are so nice and welcoming!
