TEST DRIVE #6 - The Bridge and Ten Forward

Option 01. Ten Forward: The first thing you see is a bar. A large, lively bar filled with many different faces and many different smells, sights and sounds. This is Ten Forward, the Enterprise's off-duty lounge; feel free to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and try to find somebody who's in charge: this is your new home now, after all...

Option 02. The Bridge: Well, aren't you a lucky duck? You've found yourself in hallowed quarters. Wherever you were before, you're not there anymore. Now you're in a room that could be some kind of command center or control room; there's a captain's chair flanked by seats for his chief officers, computer panels and stations at each interior wall, and before you a broad viewscreen that shows the wide expanse of space rushing towards you. Have you ever wanted to be a starship captain for a day? Well, here's your chance. Feel free to roam around, but try not to touch anything shiny.
[OOC: The Bridge isn't usually available for in-game posts, so if you've ever wanted to play there, here's your chance!]

Nathan listened and hmmed as the other man talked, and then shrugged. "Ah, well then, I suppose I'll have to seek out someone who's been here loner to get answers." Nathan arched an eyebrow at the other man and extended a hand. "I'm Nathan Summers. You been around this particular view awhile?"
no subject
"I'd try one of the folks in the Starfleet uniforms who have a rather harried look about them." Alec takes the hand and shakes. "Alec Troven. Nice to meet you. And... that's an interesting question. I'd have to say yes and no. I've popped in a few times to talk to people, but haven't done anything particularly substantive here."
A wide grin pops onto his face. "I just like annoying people."
no subject
Nathan shook his hand then nodded. "I'll remember that. And try to find one who's paying attention." he grinned.
Then he chuckled. "You remind me of a guy I knew, in another life. name of Wade. He was like that too. I'm more of a quiet kind of guy." Until there were things and people that needed blowing up, then Nathan tended to be a little... louder.
no subject
"Wade? Wade Wilson?" There's a slight almost look of disgust on Alec's face. While he definitely knows there are similarities between the two of them including their awareness of the fourth wall, he just doesn't like the other man. It's probably utterly hypocritical of him in some aspects, but he doesn't really care.
no subject
"Yes. That was his name. A strange man, seems like he likes annoying people and popping up when people least expect him more than anything else." Nathan cocked his head curiously. "You've met him?"
no subject
Alec is a creature from outside of time and space of incredible power who likes to pretend that he's humanish.
"Once or twice a long time ago. I like to think I'm more charming, better looking and less annoying." Hypocrite. Though he probably is much better looking than Wade, if you're into the slightly scruffy elvish pretty boy sort of thing.
no subject
"Every world seems to have someone like that." Nathan sat back, glancing around. "So, I imagine I'll need to catch the attention of someone who works here, to find out what is going on, really. Much more polite than reading minds." Most of the time, Nathan tried to be polite.
no subject
Sobering up a bit he stares off into space and then back at Nathan. "Oh, gods. I keep on trying to convince my boyfriend that it's rude to just read people's minds but he says it's just easier."
no subject
Nathan chuckled. "My mom was like that sometimes, but mostly she tries not to do so, also. I just think it's silly, because you never know when you'll find someone ready for you, and your mind ends up being blasted to a fare-thee-well."
no subject
There's a snort. "Jono's just got this obnoxious superiority complex and is damn lucky that no one would dare harm the Oracle."
Sometimes Alec wonders how come he puts up with Jono. Love is weird like that.
no subject
"At least he has you." Everyone needed someone, sometime.
no subject
"He does. Someone has to smack him around occasionally." Alec stretches a bit. "Do you have anyone?"
no subject
"She is my sanity."

He has been studying Nathan to see how he compares to other Scott Summers and Jean Grey genetic material Nathens he's met, like if there is the metal arm or not. It's nothing he's going to mention, it's just to satisfy his own curiosity.
"World you lived in? What happened to it?"
no subject
Nathan's genetics, and thoughts, also, were shielded behind the force of his telekinesis and telepathy, an old habit he had returned to as he traveled worlds. He had bad luck with geneticists and telepaths, hence the precautions.
On the man's question, he arched an eyebrow. "It's still there, but I moved on to a new world, a nice quiet place with several family members and friends." Nathan smiled as he settled back, thinking about ordering from the bar, identity or not.
no subject
Alec is no telepath, he's an empath and not a very strong one at that. He could possibly keep Nathan out of his head, but there's no way he could get into Nathan's shielded mind. And while Alec could cheat and look at it through just the strands of reality, it's fairly rude so he tries to do it by observation.
"Ah. I've talked to some people and when they say world they lived it, it's because their old world was destroyed. May I ask why you moved?"
