Hello, Ten Forward!

How are you all today? All of April's apps have been reviewed and are being processed now, so we at Ten Forward want to give a warm welcome to all of our new applicants!

We're SO excited to have you all with us, and we're looking forward to playing with you and getting to know you. Us mods are here as always to answer any questions you may have, so consider this your official welcome mat! Below is some helpful info, and this space can also be used to meet, mingle, plot CR, and update other players on who you play and where their Intros are.

• IC Intros/OPs: Your Opening Post can be where and when you prefer, as long as it isn't in a restricted area (ie: the bridge, engineering, crew operations). If you'd rather tag someone else's post to establish your entrance, that's totally allowed. The standard setup is to be winked into Ten Forward by Q, but if you need special arrangements—such as an immediate Sickbay visit—leave a comment letting us know.
  
  
• Life On Board: Your characters' first few days on the ship will involve a lax quarantine to guest quarters, Ten Forward, and the lifts/hallways between the two only. The medical staff will need to see them to clear them of disease and log their bio reading for future medical attention. Afterwards, they'll be assigned more permanent quarters and a roommate (unless there's a reason they cannot room with someone else), and be able to wander the civilian areas of the ship more freely.
  
  
• Sickbay: On Friday, we will post an open sickbay log to play out any new character's checkups (as well as facilitate any plot, such as asking Dr. Crusher if you can volunteer to help), but it is not required if you would prefer to handwave your character checking out and getting the all clear from the docs aboard. If your character has any special medical conditions, let us know. If you have any other requests, leave a comment. Once your character has been cleared medically, they'll be released from the initial quarantine (of Ten Forward and the guest quarters only), assigned permanent rooms, and allowed to move more freely around the ship. Restricted areas are, of course, still off-limits (such as the bridge, engine rooms, conference rooms, etc). This is especially open to new applicants, but should anyone need to visit Sickbay remember it is OTA!
  
  
• Rooms: We will be assigning all new characters a room and a roommate by random draw. This means if you have special requirements or considerations, you should leave a request in a comment HERE with your character journal. Some examples would be: if your character has a spouse or SO they would prefer to be roomed with; your character is unable to share quarters because of their physiology/temperament; and the like. If you're bringing in a high-ranking Starfleet officer, you may be assigned VIP quarters. IC, the Enterprise crew would be sure any important officers would have the best rooms, but OOC we don't want you to miss out on building CR with another character, so all officers will automatically be treated the same as other characters unless you tell us otherwise. We'll post an OOC list of characters getting roommate assignments this week, and an IC Roommate Mixer will go up next weekend so all characters can meet and mingle.
  
  
• Plot/CR: April's plotting meme is located here, or you may leave a comment directly to this post if you're looking for any particular plots or CR for your character. Tag around other people's requests and make some new connections.
  
  
• Join/Update the OOC Cast list: If you're new to the game or you have recently changed your character roster, visit the Contact Post to let us know who you play and what the best means of getting in touch with you are. This post is locked to members of the OOC community, and it is entirely optional if you would rather not post your information anywhere. Please note: if you're not comfortable with giving out certain info (like e-mail addresses or SNs) but still want to be represented, not all fields are mandatory. Leave any fields blank if you don't want that information public, and post what you're comfortable with. Nobody's privacy will be compromised.
  
  
• State of the Game Post: Last month, we posted a State of the Game post (locked to comm members) going over some ideas we have for taking the game forward and seeking feedback. We're planning on closing the post over the weekend, so please feel free to check in on it and give us your thoughts!

Hello all! My name is Ami. I've been here since sometime last year but within the last few months I've tried to be more active. Mostly cuz I not have a job where I work at a computer lol. But YES! I'm friendly though easily excited and would love to meet all!

I play Yuna from Fanil Fantasy X-2 plus previous game experience. Lately she's been about trying new things and learning about new places. Plus magicy stuff and training which is always fun when you can change your clothes at will... yeah, it was a weird game.

Now I also play Ellie Who just got accepted. I'm excited to see her freak out which is what her intro post is currently doing. Any who want to deal with a snarky/bratty/emotional baggage of a fourteen year old this is your girl. She's cool though and supper strong and happens to have a virus in her which I image can't end well when the sickbay log goes up.

I've been thinking about bringing more muses as my free time increases but for now I have these two. I tag pretty quickly and I'm always good for plotting, back-tags and hand-waving stuff.

Yes! to all of that! :p I have Yuna having a concert atm some about of posts down >.<

As for Ellie. She is from Last of Us which is a zombie esk game. She got bitten but didn't turn so she is assumed to have the cure inside of her body. So that will be interesting when the doctors log happens. She doesn't really trust others, swears a lot, and has a lot of baggage coming from a world where she had to kill to survive. I pulled her from the end of the game so she will freak out about finding Joel.

Sweet! Yeah I tossed Yuna here right before leaving the station back in November she actually has memories from a different game lol. I like space games. It will be exciting to thread with you again! Now I have two muses to bug you with. :p

\o/ And I do love Yuna. She's a lot of fun. They're also going to be slightly different because their history has changed with re-writes of their story. Trever does still have Veena though.

YAY Veena! And that's cool. It will be like getting to know the twins all over again.

Yuna has memories form Ruby city which is where she learned to drink among other things that have happened >.< She's all grown up now. Also around 20 versus in the station she was like 18. If I remember correctly.

I just apped in Ellie from Last of Us to this game. She's got a lot of baggage coming from a post apocalyptic Zombie like world and has the cure inside of her. She's 14 and swears a lot, is a bit of a smart ass and doesn't trust anyone. So the complete opposite of Yuna

Is Yuna drinking bad?

I played with an Ellie in another game. Rory, (on of) the twin's uncle, befriend her and acted as the cool uncle. But it was the younger version of Ellie.

Oh neat! Ellie needs people to friend her even though she doesn't want to trust right away. >.< I'm all like super excited now. I do wonder how Yuna and the twins CR might change since it's a new game.

YES :D I mean, all my ladies are adults now, but: one teenage soldier/vigilante (Natasha), one slave and refugee (Gaila), one adolescent gladiator (Annie - and she was been surrounded by teenage gladiators throughout most of her adolescence).

So Ellie's in goood company. Totally join a club.

I'm on the fence about a lot of people. I sort of want to bring someone in that has a castmate. Possibly someone not on my current muse list. I'm still thinking though for the moment I'm looking at two of my OC's to bring them in
