Well let me introduce you to Hell Night Pasta.

Magneto cooks - not just lives off the replicators. Occasionally he'll take what he's made to Ten Forward to eat and be social-ish. Unless someone wants to volunteer, I'm going with an NPC having commented on the spicy food he was eating, prompting him to make something hotter. Much hotter. The Pasta From Hell, brought to us from Man Vs Food, because the mun watches too much Travel Channel.

As they do, one thing lead to another and now he's making a mess of it and letting others challenge their daring and their taste buds.

And Hell Night Pasta comes to the Enterprise.

OOCly, I'll be putting up an OTA log by the 9am EST on the 25th at the latest (perhaps on the 24th if work doesn't kill me dead) for people who want to attempt to eat this literal hot mess. And others who want to watch.

What I'd like to know is who would like to be a part of this. Who wants to try to eat this. Who wants to stand there and stare at people for even trying. Who wants to goad others into take a bite without trying it themselves. Who wants to be goaded into trying it. Who wants to be the kind person with ice cream. Who wants to shake their head and laugh at people trying to prove something. Who wants to get a betting ring going over this, be it for money or some other form of currency going over the victims participants?

He'd be willing to do that on occasion!

Their older brother, the crown prince, is a professional chef who works in Paris. So they're always happy if they can find someone who can make the stuff that Nat can make.

Are the ingredients he uses replicated?

Yeah, they're replicated. It's part of why he's been using spices and such, still most of it is from scratch (he thinks you can taste the "eggs" as having something slightly off about them, they taste like powdered eggs to him, so he doesn't make fresh pasta but otherwise...)

(And he's probably wrong, just being stubborn.)

Alec doesn't blame him. The twins are a bit o.O about the food, but Kale's talked to the replicators and got a satisfactory enough answer that they're okay with eating from it.

However they would prefer actually made from scratch stuff... even if it is all replicated.

Yep that's how he is. He will eat something from the replicator (namely coffee and fruit) and he hasn't gone so far as to make butter or anything (and likely wouldn't) but he prefers food that's been cooked.

Also this is a life skill dammit.

They never needed it! They grew up in a household that had about ten kids in it, not including them, and they were the youngest of the lot and then when they lived with their father it was in the castle where people made food for them. Trev has some skills at it because he had to cook at university but Kale went into the army so he got food there. It was army food, but he didn't have to cook it.
