Hey everyone!

I'm just dropping a quick note here to let everyone know that as of this IC log, turbolifts on the Enterprise will start going haywire. This will not affect all lifts, just the ones your willing characters will use to get stuck. ;)

Because of the delay, we're extending this plot to include the real-time dates of March 15th AND 16th, though the date all of this is happening IC will remain March 15th only! Emma Swan's player had some personal matters to take care of, hence these adjustments.

As for the lights flickering, that will happen around the time Emma is giving birth, which will likely be several hours following the first turbolift malfunction. The birth plot is locked to those who made pre-arranged plans only, and will all be threaded out until its conclusion, so naturally handwaving the passage of time for your own logs is love. :)

If you have any questions, hit up the original OOC anouncement and I'm sure someone will grab you asap!

Hi all~

I am so sorry first of all that this post is so late in coming. My real life has been insane with work and family emergencies, but I am here now, so onto the plot.

On March 15th (Tomorrow) there will be a ship-wide power flicker that will affect the operation of the turbo lifts.

Emma, has a history of giving birth in odd places, so she will be trapped in a turbo lift with Captain Picard and Kaylin, and will go into labor, sorry Beverly!

You as a player base can have your characters trapped in turbo lifts as well if you so choose. This is not a mandatory plot at all, but it is something that will be happening on the ship tomorrow.

Thanks for your time, and again I am sorry for the lateness, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask them here, or plot here.

February 29th is Alec’s birthday and to celebrate his leap day birthday he’s decided that it would be fun to play a bit of a prank on the Enterprise with the knowledge that it would likely get blamed on Q. After all very few people aboard the ship know about his reality altering powers that are similar to Q’s. The fact that it’s Leap Day would lead even more credence to the fact that it was Q’s doing as he had a tendency to do interesting things to the passengers and crew on holidays.

Admittedly, he needs better hobbies, but what’s the point of being able to wiggle reality around if you can’t use it?

Information

When will this be happening: From February 29th - March 7th. There will be a post with Alec “kicking things off” but people won’t need to actually reply to the post to be involved. They can say hi to him because it’s his birthday, if they’d like.

What does this mean for your characters? Several things depending on who they are and what they can do.

Does your character have powers of any sort? Then they can lose them entirely or end up with someone else’s powers.

2. Is your character completely powerless? Congrats! Now they’ve got powers! Admittedly they originally belong to someone else and instructions on how to use them might not be included… but hey, powers!

How do I get to join in the shuffling?

Below are three sign up sections.

One for powered people looking to trade powers, one for powered people looking just give away powers and one for people wanting to be placed in a random shuffle.

If there are any people who happen to want powers or want a power trade but there’s not enough people left, they’ll be given random powers from this website as Alec’s reality warping abilities are vast and can do many strange things.

If there are more people who want to lose powers than there are people who want powers then those powers can be lost onto some poor NPC crew member.

3. How long is this going to last? One week. From Feb 29 to March 7

4. I don’t want my powers touched/don’t want to have powers! That’s okay! Alec’s powers just missed you. They’re random after all.

Form of Funness!

For people with powers, please fill out the following form and post it in the appropriate place.

SHE'S AT IT AGAIN.

♥    Amy Pond's Blind Dating Service    ♥

This event is entirely randomized, as it wouldn't be any fun any other way. You can sign up for romance, making new friends, or just meeting people you otherwise might not. Signees will be paired with other characters who have the same interests, and then put on a blind date. What happens then is up to YOU.

OOC sign-ups will go on for a week here in this post, ending sometime Friday morning/afternoon, February 12th. Matches will be announced in the OOC comm that afternoon. There is a form below where you can specify what type of CR you're looking for.

IC, Amy will be in the lounge Wednesday, where she will have signs up advertising the event as a public announcement to anyone who comes into Ten Forward throughout the day. The list of matches will then be published IC Friday night, February 12th, along with a party post where matches can meet.

ETA 2/10/2016: There is now an IC sign-up sheet as well, for anyone who wants to establish their characters as signing up but not necessarily thread with Amy. Or you can leave it OTA so other people can comment on it as they walk by!

What if I can't tag in on Wednesday? Backtags are love, and tags on the IC sign-ups can also be handwaved. This is just to establish IC that Amy is there taking names and talking to people.

What if I miss OOC and IC sign-ups, but still want to participate? The party post will have a top-level for "Going Stag" where singles can hang out at the bar and see if love finds them. If we have enough late arrivals, some last minute matches can be put together as well.

What if my muse isn't interested in Valentine's Day, but I still want to participate? Amy will also be throwing a "Galentine's Day" party in the lounge after all the dates clear out. Any muses who are happily single but who still want the chance at some new CR, a fun party, or a chance to meet a new person with no date obligation attached can tag in here and mingle. Bring dancing shoes.

If you sign-up for a date and then CAN'T participate for any reason, let me know ASAP so I can re-assign the other muse to a new match. The party post will go up Friday and be open all weekend to allow for backtags, so please don't leave your dates hanging!

If you'd like to sign your character(s) up for a blind date, fill out the form below for EACH ONE and Mrs. Pond-Williams will see to it you get matched up with a keeper. Sign-ups will remain open until February 12th.

Pacifica is known the galaxy over for being an excellent place to have a wedding, and that's exactly what two of the Enterprise's guests plan to do.

Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta have been long-term lovers back in their world, but thanks to the despotism of the president of Panem, their relationship was forbidden. Those of you who are canon-familiar will probably remember their wedding as one of the few happy moments in Mockingjay, and this weekend, that happiness is coming to Ten Forward! Yay!

IC, the wedding will take place on the afternoon and evening of February 6. OOC, events will be posted over this weekend. You're welcome to backtag, of course!

blue themed wedding setting on beach

The Ceremony

The wedding ceremony will be held on February 6, on a beach on the coast of Pacifica's Western Sea. There will be beautiful, tranquil waters, white sand, and a canopy handwoven by the bride and groom in an ancient tradition of District Four. The officiant will be an NPC, an ordained JOP from Pacifica. The wedding will be legal in-universe, but of course Finnick and Annie are including as many touches of the traditional District Four wedding ceremony as they can!

This part of proceedings is open to all, but Finnick and Annie have personally invited their canonmates and close CR.

Part of the traditional wedding ceremony in District Four is the singing of an ancient song about how marriage is like a sea voyage. OOC, we're throwing this open to anyone whose character sings and would like to take part in the ceremony. Booker DeWitt will be playing guitar. The singing won't be threaded out as canon never gives us the words. BUT if your character would want to be in on this, and would be happy to be taught the song, practice with the group, and sing at the ceremony, they will get an invite to the reception to say thanks! (We're gonna handwave this process, so no threading required to sign up!)

The Reception

The reception will be held at sunset, again on the beach on Pacifica. This is going to be closed post, as the reception will be specifically for Finnick and Annie's invited guests and the singers who pitched in for the ceremony.

The following characters have been personally invited by Finnick and Annie to the wedding, and they (and a +1) will have a seat at the reception. These are either their close CR or folks who helped out with organising the wedding:
  • Alex Rogan
  • Amy Pond
  • Beverly Crusher
  • Johanna Mason
  • Katniss Everdeen
  • Kale Daly
  • Lacey Harwood
  • Luna Lovegood
  • Magneto
  • Phoebe Halliwell
  • Prim Everdeen
  • Sinthia Schmidt
  • Trever Daly
  • PLUS any characters who sang for them at the ceremony (CURRENTLY Paige Matthews Mitchell, Myka Bering, Booker DeWitt, Elizabeth DeWitt, Killian Jones, Zoey Westen, Kate Barlow, Ayesh)

finnick and annie dancing

The Party

But never fear! Everyone else can party with the bride and groom afterwards! After dinner, Finnick and Annie will be returning to the Enterprise for a night of festivities in the lounge! Ten Forward Lounge will be host to a party that is open to everyone on the ship! There will be snacks, drinks, and lots and lots of music.

And dancing! If you're lucky, you might even pry the bride and groom away from each other long enough to steal a dance with one of them! Dancing will be largely Earth folk dance style, and much of the music will be Earth-type folk music, but Finnick and Annie have included some contemporary music of their liking, as well.

The Honeymoon

After the party, Finnick and Annie will spend their first night in their now-officially-shared quarters, and will honeymoon on Pacifica. Look out for them there, there will most likely be a post with a chance to hang out with them on the beach!

(Just watch out. Finnick splashes.)

What Now?

If you'd like to sign your character up to sing, and haven't already done so, comment here! This brings no OOC obligations to you, and gets you a ticket to the reception :). Also let us know if your character should be on the invite list and isn't (this is mostly characters who volunteered to help out with wedding things that had to be handwaved due to availability).

Look out for the posts that will go up on the weekend! The ceremony and party will be OTA, and the reception is for ICly invited guests.

Any questions? Let us know!

-- JK and Ash

EDIT: And the posts are up! The Ceremony + Reception is here (the main ceremony thread is locked to participants, but there's a spot for reactions! The reception is locked to invited guests and musicians/singers). The OTA Party is here.

P-A-R-T-Y over heeeere!

Hello, Denizens of Ten Forward, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone, whether you've already passed midnight or are waiting out the last few hours like me!

I'm here to let everyone know that at around Midnight EST John is going to be throwing a party in Room #0144 over on Deck 8. What kind of party, you ask? I am so glad you did! As you might have guessed, it's a New Year's Eve bash + All Night Movie Marathon! After meeting a number of people on the Enterprise who are unfamiliar with such classics as "Die Hard," "A Christmas Story," and "When Harry Met Sally," John has come to the decision that an education in movie history must be had. It just so happens that a certain former car named KITT has an extensive library of movies saved on his hard drive.

I'm leaving this totally relaxed, party post style with top-levels for different movies and party events, so people can wander in and out and tag where they feel like it when they feel like it. It's TOTALLY OTA. I mean, John's going to prop the door open and tie balloons outside and entice people to come in, so even if your character hasn't met him they are completely welcome to come inside. I'll also take any suggestions anyone may have for movies, snacks, themes, etc for the party. I know this is kind of last minute, but I hereby dub this party open forever, by order of the court of royal space doofuses.

If anybody has questions or I've forgotten something, let me know in the comments! Happy 2016 2368, Ten Forward!

Good evening, everyone!

In just a few moments, the Dixon Hill Murder Mystery plot will be beginning. A "party post" style entry will go up in the main comm, which I will link here.

As we had several people sign-up, our finalized list of suspects are the following:
Mack Gerhardt will be portraying FeeFee L’Monge (Club singer)
Phoenix Kaelen will be portraying Herbert Hawk (Club barman)
Jacqueline "Jackal" Egret will be portraying Renatra Hill (Dix's mother)
Felicity Smoak will be portraying Toloula Offal (Rising Star)
Jonas Quinn will be portraying Mississippi Spencer (Dix's cousin)
and Oliver Queen will be portraying Wayne McKain (Reformed (???) gangster)

The rest of our sign-ups are invited to be "co-detectives" with the rest of our audience — while they won't be suspects in the murder, they will fill a vital role in asking the suspects questions and uncovering clues. Officially we have Padme Amidala, The Twelfth Doctor, Cridhe (TARDIS AU), and Kitt playing these roles, but as mentioned in the original post ANYONE is welcome to join in! The more the merrier! So even if you didn't sign up, you can come interact with our cast and help us uncover the murder.

By now, all of our murder suspects should have received their character notes, so here are just a few more bits of info for everyone playing: for more details about the plot, here is the original plot announcement! The mystery will be divided into "Hours" via top-level comments. When the post goes up, we will have a top level for Arrivals and Mingling, after which point the MURDERRR will occur. Following the Murder, our lead detective — Shotaro! — will post a new top-level for each hour participants are trapped in the holodeck. Each hour will contain new clues and settings! Our suspects will need to tag into each top level with the clues they were provided for that "Hour", and from there anybody can tag them and ask them questions. They can even tag each other! In order to get the most clues and info possible, conversations between all of our players is vital, so don't be shy with tagging around. Only Shotaro can post a top-level comment, and all of our suspects need to tag in on each one. Hopefully that makes sense!

This mystery is two-fold: in order to get out of the holodeck simulation, everyone needs to solve the Dixon Hill mystery. The "REAL" murder mystery will be played out simultaneously, with our detectives asking the above characters personal questions to see if they had motive to kill anyone on the ship. At the end of the plot, both killers — the one in the Dixon Hill novel and the REAl one — will be revealed! We'll play this out over the week to give everyone time to thread and have fun, and announce in the comments and on Plurk when each new top-level goes up.

Hopefully that covers everything. If anyone has any questions, please hit us up here!

'Morning, Everyone!

As some of you may know, last night was Game 1 of the 2015 World Series (GO METS!) marking the end of baseball season until spring training starts it all over again next year. As some of you may also know, Captain Steve Rogers happens to be a fan of the sport even if the Dodgers' trade to LA breaks his wee Brooklyn heart.

In honor of the season and to send The Boys off with a bang, Steve will be hosting a baseball game in the holodecks on what will be Game 7 of the World Series (assuming we get one), Wednesday, November 4th! I'm keeping this pretty relaxed and open to anyone, since I'm still easing back into playing after RL stole me away, but if we have enough interest that we get two full teams of players Steve will be delighted to make a real game out of it. If everyone has fun with it, I'd like to do a more structured baseball plot next season with more games and a special World Series closer for whomever plays (maybe there will even be a trophy).

Steve will be kicking around this weekend with a practice game, which will be an invitation for anybody to wander into the holodeck and join him and sign up IC for the game on Wednesday. Then Wednesday, whomever signs up will be divided into teams for actual play. This is totally for fun, so superpower cheats, stealing bases, and mayhem on the field is all allowed — so long as you don't mind making Captain America facepalm into eternity.

If you want in on Wednesday's game, drop a comment below and let me know so I can plan ahead for how many will be playing. Since I'm also gauging interest for next year, feel free to comment with any questions or suggestions, too. Happy World Series Week, baseball fans!

Klingons Attack!

Remember this post?

Well, it's happening today!

The short version is the Klingons are coming and they're coming after General Chang. He's going to fight them and make them stand down.

There are three ways to be involved.

1. Getting in the Klingons way! So far we have:
3. Fighting with Chang:
I'm going to put up a post for the initial contact (locked to the senior staff) and a post for the players' responses. It'll come up soon. Any questions, go here

Hello from your friendly neighbourhood Klingon!

Chang has been quiet on the Enterprise, meeting people, doing some trolling, but otherwise a perfect house guest.

Or so it seems. Actually, Chang has been laying low for one specific reason. Technically, he may have committed treason on Qo'nos. And by technically, I do mean 'actually'. He's participated in a murder plot against the Chancellor, using Federation contacts to defeat the peace initiative.

Klingons are relatively cool with murder, but you got to follow the rules for these things. Going behind his back and not stabbing him with a bat'leth is just not on.

Chang isn't really hiding, though. He knows that the Klingon Empire will find him easily enough: what's happening on the Enterprise is unlikely to have escaped notice entirely. But he wants them to make the first move.

And they have. They've set their ships on an intercept course and they're going to get him.

What does this mean for the rest of you?

Well, the Klingons are a little ticked at the Federation 'harbouring' said traitor, so they're not about to be polite about fetching him. The Enterprise is going to be a little roughed up, not enough to cause a lot of casualties but enough to make their point and bring down the shields.

Then they're going to invade the Enterprise and go after him. So you can either opt in by:

  • Getting in their way. If you're part of the new security detail or just plain happen into bump into these guys, you can assume they're not going to be really patient about your interference, intentional or not. And impatient Klingons lead with their fists. It's entirely up to you how this interaction is going to lead out. Klingons are armed with both blasters and bat'leths and have trained all their lives in them. They're unlikely to target children, but who knows what happens in the heat of battle?
  • Getting them shields up! The Enterprise are none too keen to leaving their shields down while Klingons run riot. Helping the Engineering crew is going to be a top priority.

or opt out:

  • Stay out of their way. The Klingons are not there to go on a rampage, they have a specific target. And although they're none too picky about how to get to said target, they're not inclined to bother with you if you're not in the way.  The only things you have to worry about is being shaken or annoying any security guards who are a bit put out by your wandering the halls during a red alert. Chang lives on the same deck as the Brig, that is DECK 33, so all your character has to do is not be there.

How will this be resolved?

Well, believe it or not, Chang is more or less ready. You see he has something of an ace in the hole. Not just the fact that he knows the Federation will defend him but also that he has The Sword of Kahless.

For those who are unfamiliar with Kahless, he's a kind of mystic figure for Klingons. He's the Surak of Qo'nos, although rather than taking the Klingons on a path to logic, he just gave them a code of conduct: the rules of honour that all Klingons are supposed to live by. He's such an important figure that in a few years the Monks of Borath (basically Klingon Vatican) make a clone of the guy and try to pass him off as the real deal and even when they failed to do so, a lot of Klingons worshipped him anyway.

The Sword is the first bat'leth that was ever made by Kahless and was used to win the Empire for him. It's as revered as the man himself and Chang wielding it in battle will strike no small amount of awe in his enemies. They'll be demoralised by the fact that he's able to beat them with it and will start to wonder if he wants the Emperor position that was laid unclaimed since Kahless died. He'll order them off the Enterprise and demand an audience with the Chancellor.

When and how?

This will start on the 29th of August and be wrapped up on the 5th of September. (Saturday to Saturday.)

The first post will be a setting up, closed to the reactions of the senior staff. Then I'll post for anyone who wants to play out in the battle and engineering.

This post will be used for people to plot out their reactions. There's a sign up for those who want to encounter the Klingons and one for those who want to work to get the shields back up.

(Sorry if I've made some mistakes, ask any questions in the comments!)

Who likes stupidly spicy food and or watching people eat stupidly spicy food?

You? Your character?

Well let me introduce you to Hell Night Pasta.

Magneto cooks - not just lives off the replicators. Occasionally he'll take what he's made to Ten Forward to eat and be social-ish. Unless someone wants to volunteer, I'm going with an NPC having commented on the spicy food he was eating, prompting him to make something hotter. Much hotter. The Pasta From Hell, brought to us from Man Vs Food, because the mun watches too much Travel Channel.

As they do, one thing lead to another and now he's making a mess of it and letting others challenge their daring and their taste buds.

And Hell Night Pasta comes to the Enterprise.

OOCly, I'll be putting up an OTA log by the 9am EST on the 25th at the latest (perhaps on the 24th if work doesn't kill me dead) for people who want to attempt to eat this literal hot mess. And others who want to watch.

What I'd like to know is who would like to be a part of this. Who wants to try to eat this. Who wants to stand there and stare at people for even trying. Who wants to goad others into take a bite without trying it themselves. Who wants to be goaded into trying it. Who wants to be the kind person with ice cream. Who wants to shake their head and laugh at people trying to prove something. Who wants to get a betting ring going over this, be it for money or some other form of currency going over the victims participants?

Dear All,

I'm going to be starting to plan for the DST in order to get them up and running via "B" plots through July and beyond. If you have not signed on for security and want to please do so by the end of the weekend.

--- It will not be the last time I open the team up by far. I just need to know roughly who's on board for the summer in order to work my mojo from there.

--- If you think you'd like to give it a shot, but you are not sure, I'd encourage you to sign on for Tier I and see if what I do is your cuppa. (No offense taken if I'm not.)

--- Remember that will and the right mentality are more important than skill. Tasha started out as an ill-educated Turkana street rat and just got over a slight case of death recently. Whatever your character has been up to or was doing in a previous life, she's willing to give you as much of a shot as the Federation and Starfleet gave her.

--- If you have a new muse join who wants in on this, you have questions or something else changes, please email, AIM chat, or plurk me. I'm at Grayarcadian (at gmail) for all 3.

Thanks for participating!

A bit ago, the mods and I came up with a plan to help expand story opportunities below decks. To that end - and to keep Worf at his station - Tasha will be assembling, training and leading a team of below decks security personnel.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE ANSWERING. There will be a thread for questions.

There will be two tiers to this. You are not committed for life to one tier or another, but Tier II is going be more - I guess the word is "involved" - than standard jam-jar fair.

Tier I - Deputies:

You have a talent for investigation, enforcement, infantry, or you'd like to get some, and you're willing to obey what a Starfleet officer tells you to do for a mission now and again? Welcome to Tier I. Picard and Yar will happily deputize you and put you to work for the good of the ship. This is light commitment stuff while still being useful and getting more RP opportunities. You agree to follow Starfleet rules and regulations. You have more access to things around the ship and are generally treated much in the way civilian workers in the military are treated.

These will be recruited in earnest once I know who's up for Tier II.

Tier II - Acting Officers

This is for people who want a story arc for their characters which will give Starfleet responsibilities, commitments, and - let's be real here - headaches. This is a path for characters who are already displaced Starfleet officers OR have at least mixed feelings about going home and want longer-term RP opportunities within the setting by becoming committed officers. Ideally, these will be characters who have or can evolve into a Trek-setting mentality (explorers, Prime Directive, aggressive only if someone truly earned a torpedo in an uncomfortable place, can take orders, etc.) and have some useful security skills. Tasha can train the later. The former is something you will have to ask yourself if you character can really commit to this. Security is command line stuff and Tasha does not want some gun nut to be anywhere near that possibility.

This is going to be a squad of people with their own specialized story bits which will have some at least limited, and probably growing, emphasis on character growth and exposure to Star Trek-like unknown, and Starfleet bureaucracy. The galaxy rewards and punishes people hard and volunteering for this level exposes your character to that. For a clue as to what Acting Officers are expected to do I'm reviewing Wesley's character arc in minute detail and will answer individual questions below. A possibility I've discussed with Gabby is that this kind of path may eventually lead to being a fully ranked commission officer IF the player wants to pursue that - but that's not going to be an easy thing to earn.

Acting officers will outrank the deputies and, should we need a hand, help run security stuff. Just for sanity sake, I'd like a minimum of 2 others and aim for a maximum of 12 at this time, with the understand that thing happen and these numbers could go up or down and players can change their minds.

Minimum age for Acting officers I figure would be 15-ish, again, based on Wesley. Attitude counts for more than skill, but skill is a bonus. You'd report to Tasha, but Picard ultimately is responsible for you. Starfleet officers or cadets are already effectively officers and their help would be readily accepted.

If you volunteer for either Tier I or two, please post below. Also, just so I have a better sense of what you personally are looking for RP-wise and would like to plot for it, can you please explain why you chose the tier you have?

Thank you

ETA: SIGN-UPS ARE NOW CLOSED! Thank you, everyone!

Hi Ten Forwardians!

Some of you may be wondering 'hey, what ever happened to the rescue plot for Risa?' Well, as some of you may know, the player planning the event had an unexpected surgery about two weeks ago that she's been recuperating from, and that combined with Real Life events over the end of the year pushed the plot from December to January. But the waiting is officially over! The player of our family in need of rescuing, Chicklet, has asked us to update you on the events of the plot and reopen sign-ups for those whose availability may have changed.

† The Deets: Around 6 characters, including 1 Starfleet officer (if one doesn't sign up, an NPC will be provided), are needed to rescue a family of 4 from the caves in Risa.
† The Dates: The mun would like to start an IC post on Thursday, Jan 8th, for the setup if everyone's schedules allow, with tagging to continue on Saturday, Jan 10th.
† The Plot: While the Enterprise is orbiting Risa, the crew picks up some strange readings on their sensors. It seems somewhere in the wilder regions of Risa there are naturally occurring dilithium crystals, a very rare element that cannot be replicated and which fuel the Enterprise. This is exceedingly unusual, so Captain Picard makes arrangements with the Risa Hedony to send a team to investigate and mine some of these crystals. As the team is dispatched, they will have to walk some distance away from the pleasant beaches toward the wilds, where many cave systems litter the planet. Led by the Starfleet officer, they will locate the cave where they believe the readings are coming from, and while investigating — which will include digging and clearing away rocks — they will uncover a large cocoon instead. Inside that cocoon is what appears to be a coffin, which once opened reveals three more human-sized cocoons. Inside the first cocoon is Ayesh. She and her family have been buried here for untold years, under a spell that keeps them in a dreamless sleep, until it is deemed safe to awaken them back into the world. Only Ayesh's cocoon must be opened, for once it is she will regain consciousness and her first thought will be protecting the other two. Strong fighters or gifted negotiators are preferred to calm Ayesh down enough to explain her situation. Once that has been accomplished, the team's main objective will be getting Ayesh, along with the two unopened cocoons, back to the Enterprise for medical attention.

All who sign-up will need to work together cooperatively as a team. There is a tagging order, which is why volunteers are capped at 6 people, to keep things from getting too unwieldy and moving along smoothly. Those who showed interest in our first plotting post will get first dibs, with first-come-first-served for all who sign up after that until we have our full team of 6. A more detailed plot write-up with background and setting will also be available for all who sign up.

The IC set-up for the plot will include scenes both on the Enterprise and on Risa, so all characters are eligible to sign up to help regardless of whether they're on the ship or on the planet. IC they simply have to approach the officers leading the mission to volunteer, which will probably be handwaved so we can get straight into the fun of the mission.

After Ayesh is rescued, she will remain on the Enterprise as one of our fellow passengers, so come help a shipmate out and have some fun along the way!
