Reserves are now OPEN, plus a few changes on apps

Reserves are NOW OPEN for the August application period. Reserves will remain open for TWO WEEKS, closing on July 31st in the US. Apps will then open on August 1st, and remain open for ONE WEEK. Another announcement will be made closer to the time reserves close.


Also, an update for all of you: we mentioned earlier that we were making slight changes to some of our OOC pages and rules based off of player feedback. The first of these changes has rolled out prior to opening reserves, because it involves our app process. Don't worry, nothing major has changed, so if you've already begun work on an application you're still fine! What you'll notice is the following:

1) An increased word limit for canon character apps. The minimum is still 300 words, but the maximum has increased to 1000 words for your character essay. No more pulling your hair out to make everything fit. :)
2) You may now request to join the comm and cast list after apps start being processed. We had combined these steps previously so players could get it all done in one shot, but there was some confusion on the matter. So now you simply have to comment on the open apps page with your application, and once we've reviewed your character journal and app, we will send you the links to join the cast list and the community in our approval comment.
