Wow, opening weekend was wonderful, and we have all of YOU to thank for that! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making it so much fun.
Picard has made a ship-wide announcement here, so please be sure you take a look at that. For anybody who hasn't made an OP (opening post) yet, assume your character will get the same speech shortly after they enter the game. We will have a post open for the sickbay likely on Wednesday. Characters can tag in and get either Beverly Crusher or Leonard "Bones" McCoy. This isn't mandatory; if you'd rather wave your hand and say your character got their scan and their shots and they totally checked out, we're okay with this. During this time, you can post your character as being in Ten Forward, the quarters everyone is sharing, or on the turbolift (elevator) traveling between the two. Other areas of the ship will open up for their use very soon! As this happens, we'll post tutorials and explanations for anybody unfamiliar with Star Trek, so you know what to expect and what your character can do.
Also, we have begun assigning roommates for the first quarter of the game. If your character needs a room and you have not done so already, please visit this post and let us know. If you miss sign-ups this time around, you can contact a mod later, or wait for our next rooming post. As more characters enter the game, they will all need rooms and roommates and we will continue assigning them. Just be sure you don't miss out!
Lastly, several people expressed interest in keeping the AIM chat going as a way for players to meet each other, so we are happy to do that! MetalKittens will open the chat room every night after work (at approximately 8pm EST [GMT - 4:00]), if it hasn't already been opened by someone else. I, your friendly neighborhood Gabby, will continue making regular [Ten Forward] Plurks @gabbynormal for anyone who'd prefer to catch us there. Please feel free to friend us or join in on any conversation. We'd love to meet you!
