I love this game and everyone in it is so lovely, but I have come to the realisation that I just don't have time for it. I hate to do this while there's still Alemar plot things to tag, but I'm struggling even to find the time to read it all and think about what I need to do.

I will miss this game and everyone in it.

Hello Ten Forward! I'm about to head off to class but I figured I'd write a quick intro first! I'm a new player, though I think several of you know me. My name is Varis, and I'm bringing in Ashley Hammond from the In Space era of Power Rangers!

For anyone who doesn't know, Ashley is a friendly person who likes making friends and is in more ways than one Andros's better half. She's also a trendy girl who will be fixing all the fashion disasters on the Enterprise, asap.

Welcome to Ten Forward, September apps!

Every month we roll out the official welcome mat and say hello to all our new players. We're all looking forward to playing with you and getting to know you, and we the mods want to be available to answer any questions you have. We also want everyone to have a chance to meet, mingle, plot CR, and update us on who you play and where their Intros are.

Our last few Meet & Greet posts cover some basics, like what's the deal with these "Food For Thought" posts, how we handle IC intros/opening posts here, what your character should expect when arriving, and a who's who of players and their muses. We'll go ahead and repeat some of the important basics:

• Intros/OPs: Your Opening Post can be where and when you prefer, as long as it isn't in a restricted area (ie: the bridge, engineering, crew operations). If you'd rather tag someone else's post to establish your entrance, that's totally allowed. The standard setup is to be winked into Ten Forward by Q, but if you need special arrangements leave a comment letting us know.
  
  
• Life On Board: Your characters' first few days on the ship will involve a lax quarantine to guest quarters, Ten Forward, and the lifts/hallways between the two only. The medical staff will need to see them to clear them of disease and log their bio reading for future medical attention. Afterwards, they'll be assigned more permanent quarters and a roommate (unless there's a reason they cannot room with someone else), and be able to wander the civilian areas of the ship more freely.
  
  
• Sickbay: A sickbay post will be arranged for this Wednesday to play out the new character's checkups (as well as cover any sustained injuries from our Alemar III plot), but it is not required if you would prefer to handwave your character checking out and getting the all clear from the docs aboard. If your character has any special medical conditions, let us know. If you have any other requests, leave a comment.
  
  
• Rooms: We will be assigning all new characters a room and a roommate by random draw. This means if you have special requirements or considerations, you should leave a request in a comment here with your character journal. Some examples would be: if your character has a spouse or SO they would prefer to be roomed with; your character is unable to share quarters because of their physiology/temperament; and the like. If you're bringing in a high-ranking Starfleet officer, you may be assigned VIP quarters. IC, the Enterprise crew would be sure any important officers would have the best rooms, but OOC we don't want you to miss out on building CR with another character, so all officers will automatically be treated the same as other characters unless you tell us otherwise. We will post more about rooming arrangements this Friday.
  
  
• Plot/CR: September's plotting meme is located here, or you may leave a comment directly to this post if you're looking for any particular plots or CR for your character. Tag around other people's requests and make some new connections.

If you haven't made your own OOC Intro post, leave a comment here telling us who you are and who you play, leave your preferred means of contact if you'd like to keep in touch with other players, tell us of any plots and plans you're hoping to accomplish while here, link us to your IC Intros, or just wave at us from afar.

Just one more brief update, as of a few hours ago we just cleared our 100th app. That means our tiny, brand new game is not so tiny anymore! Thank you all for joining Ten Forward and playing with us. We never could have imagined it would grow so fast. The interest and support is totally overwhelming, and we are so happy you are all here with us. Because the game is growing so fast, we're going to be improving a lot of the OOC pages and information to make it easier to navigate and find what you're looking for. We'll also be doing some new things, like opening up IC jobs for your characters, making some handy maps, and hopefully some other cool things as well. Because we all have limited free time, these updates will happen asap whenever we can get to them, and will probably be trickling in over the next few months. We'll be updating you as it happens, and letting you know how you can help if you feel so inclined. For now, just know that we're on it, and we're so glad you're with us. Thank you.

My name's Nina, and I am joining the new players club. :) From the Star Trek universe, and in particular Deep Space Nine, I present one Jadzia Dax. She's a Trill, who is joined with the Dax symbiont, so has lots and lots of memories, and a quirky personality to boot.
