Hello hello, everyone!

As of this post, our Alemar III plot has officially moved to Day 2/Stage 2. There may be no new Day 1 posts made, but all existing posts can continue to be updated and played through, particularly as many Real Life schedules have made threading slow for many of us. There are no hard and fast rules on wrapping up a team objective at a certain time, so please feel free to keep going at a pace which is fun and comfortable for you all. Threading Day 2 objectives can happen simultaneously, and however your team prefers to proceed should be discussed among you.

What this means plot-wise: On Day 2, the Crystaloid monster comes back to ravage our second team of fighters. Our first team of fighters will now move on to mending their wounds and assisting other teams insomuch as they can. Our Engineers in charge of re-establishing communications will get a message off to the Enterprise, and Captain Picard will dispatch our Rescue Mission team. Once on Alemar III, they will split up and head off to assist the other teams. Please refer to your plot e-mails for the full run-down of your Day 2 objectives. The mods will be checking in and updating you all there as Day 2 progresses. You may also use this post to plot with other teams or ask questions.

What this means for everyone on the Enterprise: Since we've just wrapped another app cycle and have some new characters joining the ship, I'm sure some of you have been wondering about how this will affect your Intro Posts. Posts may absolutely continue to be made on the Enterprise throughout the duration of the plot. More than half our cast is still on the ship, so there should be plenty of opportunities for CR with new characters. This is where time gets a little bendy-wendy; while, generally speaking, days pass in-game about the same as they do in the real world, we're stretching 3 in-game days out over a few weeks in the real world. So for new characters making Intros, it should be assumed that yesterday was when the away team headed out, and tomorrow is when they will return.

As before, you will have ample time to post and tag around before Day 3 starts, so how quickly or how slowly your team accomplishes their objectives should be decided among you. Each team can make as many or as few posts as they like over the course of each in-game day; posts do not have to be made by team leaders and only team leaders, so if you're one of the other characters and have an idea for a separate post, please feel free to let your team know and go for it! We'll give a few days' notice before starting Day 3 objectives, so that if any relevant posts need to go up beforehand players will have time. Backtagging is, as always, encouraged. Everything may continue to be tagged for as long as it takes.

Remember, NPCs are yours to use if you feel like it. In addition to the Enterprise crew, there are the scientists and engineers who live and work on Alemar III who will have to be somewhere during events. Whether they were knocked unconscious, wounded, trapped somewhere, or perhaps can offer valuable help in explaining the planet, if your character needs them for a subplot, have at them! The mods can be contacted if you have any questions on how this can be done.

Be sure you hold onto your plotting e-mails, which contain the relevant IC and OOC information for your group, and also be sure to check in over at the original OOC plot post for more, particularly the QUESTIONS subthread. If you get stuck and need help, this is the first place you should check!

Contact the mods if you have any problems, and have fun!

Greetings, players!

Now that a good number of plot participants have checked in over in the arrivals post and everyone has had time to bat some plotting e-mails back and forth, it's time to get things started in genuine. We know everyone has been eager to get going on the good stuff.

Shortly, a post is going to go up setting all the events in motion. This isn't another party post, it's just there for establishing what's happening IC for your characters to react to. Once it goes live, you may all begin on your Day 1 objectives. You will have ample time to post and tag around before Day 2 starts, so how quickly or how slowly your team accomplishes their objectives should be decided among you. As it has come up in a few of the plotting e-mails, it should be noted that if two groups are trapped in the same area (ie: the two Engineering teams both being in the main room aboveground, etc), it's totally fine for players from both teams to interact. Just be sure you're concentrating on working with your team to get your objectives done.

As said elsewhere, each team can make as many or as few posts as they like over the course of each in-game day (For instance, Team #1 has agreed on Steve Rogers making the first group post to organize getting started, but after that things can spread to as many other posts as the team wants). We'll give a few days notice before starting Day 2 objectives, so that if any relevant posts need to go up beforehand players will have time. Of course, backtagging is always encouraged, so if you don't finish your Day 1 objectives before Day 2 begins, don't worry. Everything may continue to be tagged for as long as it takes.

Remember, NPCs are yours to use if you feel like it. In addition to the Enterprise crew, there are the scientists and engineers who live and work on Alemar III who will have to be somewhere when events go down.

We'll update this post once the IC post has gone live. ETA: And the inciting post is LIVE, which means you are all free to begin posting, planning, and plotting. GOOD LUCK, TEAMS.

You have all been amazingly patient while your beleaguered mods have been pushing deadlines riiiiight up to their expiration dates, and we love you for that. To show this, we have an arrivals post for you! And no one can take that away from us! NO ONE!

In other words, the first stage of our FIRST EVER GAME PLOT is now live, and the waiting is OVER. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your patience, your excitement, and your wonderful questions.

Just by way of a few reminders, this plot is cooperation heavy and will rely mostly on tagging around to other players. If you need an NPC scientist, tour guide, or away team member to come help you out, we can make one available to you by request. No problem! But you can use the information given in the "tour", as well as the details provided in your plot e-mails, to handwave conversations with NPCs in your threads with other PCs. That way everyone is getting a chance to talk and compare notes.

Your Day 1 team objectives will start AFTER the next plot post, wherein the aforementioned earthquake takes out systems and causes cave-ins and all that delicious drama. So hold onto your team posts until then! You have plenty of time to keep making plots and plans in your objectives e-mails.

As threading ensues, if you think of more questions for us you can ping the mod account in your objectives e-mails (we're working our way through questions there now!), or comment on the QUESTIONS subthread in the plot announcement post, that way we can make this a glossary where all participating players can go to see if their questions have already been answered.

Most importantly, have fun with this! Make up stuff! Get into trouble! Build CR! Your mods will be here every step of the way to answer questions and encourage you.

We had 48 different characters sign up for our first ever game plot. WOW! With Enterprise characters joining in to keep things organized, that gave us an even 50, which the mods have split into ten teams.

We did our best to make sure everyone got their first or second choice based off the forms you filled out on the plot announcement post, with a tiny handful of characters getting their third choice. If you did not sign up for this plot in the allotted amount of time, you will not be participating; however, you may of course continue to make posts for your characters on the Enterprise throughout the duration of the plot.

Team Assignments and Plot info for all who are participating )

Before objectives are e-mailed out to each team, please take a moment to review your assignment and make sure there are no conflicts. Teams were arranged to have an even number of strengths (IE: a leader, a helper, a victim, a healer, etc), so please do not change the role you originally signed up for. If you have any other questions or concerns, now is the time to let us know! Check the original questions thread to see if yours has already been answered, and drop us a new comment if not.

Plot kick-off is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, July 25th in the US, with a rain date of Saturday morning if there are problems between now and then. Happy plotting, everyone!

Back by popular demand, the open log for roommates to meet, chat with their neighbors, and build all that wonderful CR is officially live! Follow the link to get there. This post is open to all players, not solely the ones listed, so if you're looking for an opportunity to meet your new neighbors, please feel free to come by.

We recommend you get in touch with the player of your new roommate OOC, if you haven't done so already, to make firm plans. Last month, we had a little confusion and we don't want anyone to go untagged! Please feel free to use this post to plot for CR or make plans with other players, or use the contact info in their character profiles.

If you weren't around last round and need more details about these rooms and the official IC rules of conduct for your characters, please read this post. It should explain everything you need to know. As a note: while guest quarters on Deck 7 are windowless, the VIP quarters on Deck 8 do have windows. That, along with being slightly bigger, are the only real differences between the rooms. If you are a Starfleet captain, admiral, or the like, you will get a room on Deck 8 (but you still get a roommate from the same random pool as everyone else). If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask a mod! Leave a question here or catch any of us by e-mail.

The official rooming list is located here, for a complete look at all rooms and passengers. It's also permanently located in the navigational sidebar in both comms for easy access.

Hello hello!

With apologies for the late hour, the newest sickbay checkups post is located here. Same rules as before apply: tagging in is optional and can be done at your leisure. This round we have Julian Bashir heading up our team of Starfleet doctors, as well as Trance Gemini and Rory Williams. Beverly Crusher is handwavily around, but the player is not available for too many threads. If you were hoping to meet Beverly and haven't already arranged for something, you can request her, but this month she's by request only. Leave a comment here, and Beverly's player will contact you as soon as she can. For everyone else, just specify the name of the doctor you want in the subject line of your tag, and they'll tag you as soon as they're available.

Once your character has been cleared medically, they'll be released from the initial quarantine of Ten Forward and the guest quarters only, assigned their permanent rooms, and allowed to move more freely around the ship. Restricted areas are, of course, still off limits (such as the bridge, engine rooms, conference rooms, etc). The OOC roommate list has already been posted here. An IC Roommate Mixer will go up tomorrow night, and is open for all new and old characters to meet their new roommates as well as their neighbors down the hall. We suggest getting in touch with the player behind your new roommate to arrange for things so no one gets left out. :)

If there are any questions, you can leave them in a comment here. Thanks, everyone!

This is just a reminder that sign-ups for our Alemar III plot close tomorrow. If you have any last minute additions or questions, now is the time to get them in!

I'll also have more information for everybody on the Sickbay post and the Roommate Mixer hopefully by the end of tonight. Check back for edits. :)

ETA: There WILL be a Sickbay post, going up tonight (Tuesday the 22nd in the US). An OOC post will accompany it with all the details needed by our new characters. Julian Bashir, Trance Gemini, and Rory Williams will be the main doctors on deck, with Beverly in the wings as by request only.

We'll therefore post the roommate mixer tomorrow night. That will give us a brief breather before the gameplot begins on Friday. PHEW, everyone got that? ^__^

We've determined the newest set of roommates and had ourselves a good laugh over them too for you guys, guaranteed to provide endless hours of amusing interactions. If you were overlooked or forgot to tell us something that presents a problem with the current pairs list, please let us know! Assignments are decided by dice rolls, and are tweaked so nobody's characters get stuck together and deprived of the joy of random roommates, and to accommodate special requests. If you weren't around to get the full rundown on rooms (what they look like, what comes in them, stuff you can get your replicator terminal to make, et cetera), please visit this post. And if you want to check out who else you're around and brush up on who's got what room, go check out the official list, handily linked permanently in the sidebar of the comm.

So without further ado, the list is as follows:

------------------------------

Deck 7, Section 4
Room # 0741 Seamus Harper and Clayton Danvers

Room # 0742 KITT's hologram and Andrew McKee

Room # 0743 Ginny Weasley and Topher Brink

Room # 0744 Irian t'Aumne and Henry Gold

Room # 0746 Tyr Anasazi and Telemachus Rhade

Room # 0747 Chase Collins (Goodwin-Pope) and Angeal Hewley

Room # 0748 Dylan Hunt and Lucie Miller

Room # 0749 Simon Tam and The Doctor (Eight)

Room # 0751 Kaylee Frye and Laura Kinney | X-23

AND

Deck 8
Room #0142 Kathryn Janeway and Jonathan Archer

Room #0143 Gul Dukat and Tora Ziyal

Room #0144 James T. Kirk and John Sheppard

Room #0801 K'ehleyr
------------------------------

Let us know if everything above looks good for you guys, and we'll add it to the official list! We know we have a few characters who have yet to intro, and a few in our Sickbay, so before we make an IC room post we want to allow time for these ones to settle. If there is interest in a Roommate Mixer Party Post, it will go up early next week, prior to our game plot beginning. We're likewise gauging interest in a new Sickbay post for the new arrivals. Let us know what you think in the comments!

As of this post, the first stage of our game plot has officially begun. The Enterprise is MOVING. At last!

Feel free to have your characters react. While she is a relatively quiet ride, there will be a noticeable and distinct hum, particularly the closer you get to the center of the ship (and naturally the closer you get to the engines). Transportation is smooth, so there's no need to worry about turbulence. However, if your character is susceptible to motion sickness, they may experience a little 'seasickness' (but it's nothing as bad as being on the ocean). Another thing your characters may notice is now when they look outside, rather than seeing stationary specks of light they will see stars streaking past.

If anyone has any questions, let us know! The ship has already set a course for Alemar III, keeping us on schedule for next week's plot kick-off. Additionally, physically visiting the Enterprise by shuttle or transporter will now be allowed, for those who have been waiting. Leaving the ship will become a possibility soon.

Thank you, everyone!

Greetings, everyone!

The open log for roommates to meet, chat with their neighbors, and build all that wonderful CR is officially live. Follow the link to get there.

If you weren't around for round one and need more details about these rooms and the official IC rules of conduct for your characters, please read this post. It should explain everything you need to know. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask a mod! Leave a question here or catch any of us by e-mail.

We have two characters who aren't getting typical rooms, due to their size/species. Doctor Oggurobb Hutt has been roomed on Deck 8, in part of the unfinished multipurpose deck canonically used for overflow purposes. Part of the deck has been sectioned off (into "Section 1A"), and made comfortable for someone of the Hutt's species. For instance, instead of a bed there's a mud pool. KITT, in his car form, has been parked in Cargo Hold 7 on Deck 4, where he'll be less likely to be disturbed as he would in any of the other cargo bays. It's a fairly unremarkable room, two storeys, and looks a little something like this. The TARDIS hasn't been assigned a permanent location yet, but if the muns are agreeable it can be placed with KITT for company. ^__^

The official rooming list is located here, for a complete look at all rooms and passengers. It's also permanently located in the navigational sidebar in both comms for easy access.

Please, use this post as you see fit to interact with folks who may not be available on Plurk or AIM, or leave questions for the mods. We're so happy to have everyone here, and hope you have a lot of fun meeting your new roomies!

We've determined the next set of roommates for all who commented on this post. If you were overlooked, please let us know. Assignments are decided by dice rolls, and tweaked so people are not rooming with their own second characters or to accommodate special requests.

*******************************************

Deck 07, Section 4

Room 0727 - Sinthia Schmidt and Gaila

Room 0731 - Bucky Barnes and James Bond

Room 0732 - Mr. Gold and Jonas Quinn

Room 0733 - Waco Kid and Haruto Souma

Room 0734 - Ashida Noriko and Amanda

Room 0736 - Jack Harkness and Julian Bashir

Room 0737 - Terzen T'Karr and Rory Williams

Room 0738 - Sundance Kid and Genesis

Room 0739 - The Doctor and Rose Tyler

Room 0741 - Seamus Harper

Doctor Oggurobb Hutt - Special Room | Deck 8, Section 1A

KITT (the car) | Deck 4, Room #2740, Cargo Hold 7

*******************************************

Let us know if everything looks well for you all. If nothing needs to be changed, we'll add it to the official list and an in-game post will go up on Monday letting all the new roommates meet and mingle [[EDITED BELOW]].

Since we had an odd number of characters this month, someone from next round will be roomed with Seamus. KITT's car-body is down in the cargo hold, but once he has a more portable form he will also be put into the lottery for a roommate. A few other people were not assigned rooms because we could not get in touch with them, and those will be added to the next round of random-sorting as well. The in-game roommate meet & greet post will go up tomorrow (Wednesday the 25th, US EST time [GMT-4]) and we apologize for the delay, as we had conflicting schedules. So expect the roommate meet and greet tomorrow, with our sincerest apologies for not updating sooner.

Hello everyone!

For those who requested it, the newest sickbay checkups post is located here. Same rules as before apply. As mentioned earlier, the top tag from Beverly is for any medical characters interested in working in the sickbay. Come meet the CMO and see about it! For everyone else, tag in at your leisure and be sure to let us know if you have a preference with doctors. Tonight, we have Beverly Crusher, Julian Bashir, and Bones McCoy heading up our team of Starfleet doctors, as well as Trance Gemini from Andromeda. Just stick the name of the doctor you want in the subject line of your tag, and we'll catch you as soon as we're available. If you have no preference, whoever is around will leap on you first.

If you have any questions, you can leave them in a comment here, or catch us in the "TenForward" AIM chat room. We'll be in and out as schedules allow (currently Trance and Bashir's players are in).

Additionally, KITT's player mentioned perhaps having someone from Engineering poke at him, and in making plans for that it got me thinking about the engineers aboard. We have plans to get the engines up and running by next weekend, so the ship will be moving by the time new apps are cleared and we can move toward our first big game plot. Geordi will be in the game sometime this weekend, complaining about the situation in Engineering. If any characters are interested in meeting the Chief Engineer and offering their help in fixing the engines, consider this an open post to get your geek on. Disclaimer: the only way the engines will get working again is when Q is ready to fix them himself, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun looking for solutions in the meantime.

So, just to give you all a general timeline of events: tonight we run the sickbay checkups; this weekend Geordi will be available to discuss engine problems and meet any engineers interested in helping; early next week we'll have the room assignments for new players; next weekend (or shortly thereafter), engines will be back on-line and the ship will start moving. Apps run a few days thereafter, so after the new characters settle in we'll have more updates on our first mission. I know everyone has been looking forward to that.

Thanks, everyone! Let us know if we've forgotten anything.

Good day, everyone!

The mods have powwowed about the requests you've been leaving for us regarding sickbay check-ups, and have decided to do another party post-style entry like we did for the first round. It occurs to us that we also have quite a number of new medical personnel, so it will also be a good way of getting everyone introduced.

We'll post up a sickbay entry on Thursday (here in the US; it will be Friday for our players in Australia). For this one, the top tag will be from Dr. Crusher so that the new doctors and nurses in the game can come meet her before exams begin. This is mostly for Bashir and Rory, whose players both expressed interest in working in Sickbay (Trance doesn't need to tag here, since she and Beverly can chat more in their current thread). For everyone else who has requested an exam, you may tag into the post and request a doctor if you have a preference, otherwise one will be randomly assigned to you. We will have our returning doctors, Beverly Crusher and Bones McCoy, as well as Trance Gemini and Julian Bashir this round. Tagging into the sickbay post will not be mandatory, but IC your character getting an exam is. Feel free to handwave them going to sickbay, getting a scan and a vaccine, and being sent on their merry way if you prefer not to thread it out. If your character has any serious medical conditions, let us know about them. If you apped a crewman, you're exempt from needing an exam. This is just for people new to the Enterprise.

Please let us know if you have any questions! Of course, if you've already handwaved your character as having their exam, that's A-OK. Everyone should feel free to move at their own pace. After getting their check-up and being cleared to mingle, they'll receive permanent rooming assignments. If your character does not have a room and a roommate, go to this post and request one. We'd like a decent number of characters before doing dice rolls to determine who's rooming with who, just to make things more fun. Remember to let us know if your character has special circumstances (we haven't forgotten the Hutt, and I'm personally working on where he'll end up). Crew, again, are exempt from needing an assigned roommate, but please feel free to mingle when we post up the final IC list. We'd like to have this done by the weekend/early next week, so everyone can start feeling settled.

I think that's all for now. Have we forgotten anything? Need further clarification? Please, drop a comment here and we'll be happy to respond.

What's that, you say? There is a party post up in the main comm? You are correct, sir! The rooming assignments have now been announced in-game, so your character is free to react to it and interact with their new roommate. Because quite a few people thought it would be nice to have a party post where everyone could interact, that's precisely what we've done. All characters will be gathered in Ten Forward to hear the announcement from Worf, so everyone can interact, bump into other characters, and go off to explore their new rooms.

Rooms: Guest Quarters (which is where your characters will be staying) will consist of a shared living area, separate bedroom, and Jack-and-Jill bathroom; each room is customizable with different furniture styles and comforts, but come standard with your typical hotel-style furnishings (see image 1). There may be either 1 or 2 attached bedrooms, and per bedroom there will be either bunkbeds or a single-level bed, a small desk/chair, and storage lockers (see image 2). In the shared living area, there will be a sofa, table, and a replicator terminal (see image 3). These replicators can produce food, drink, and small items (clothing, instruments, combs and toothbrushes, etc.; nothing bigger than a breadbox). There will also be a PADD on each desk with the Prime Directive highlighted, but these devices can be used to access the ship's computers as well. The rooms do not have any windows, as they're located on the interior of the ship.

Memory Alpha has a more detailed overview of ship's quarters if needed; scroll down to the "Galaxy-class" section. It's between you and your roomie if you want separate rooms or to share bunkbeds; personally, I find the bunkbeds option hilarious, but I can understand how that may not fly with certain characters. Guest quarters usually allow for separate single-level bed rooms, while junior crew quarters typically have the bunkbeds, but I figured we could have a little fun with things. If you've just put in your app for June, don't worry! We'll continue assigning roommates and rooms for all new players after they're approved. Your character's first few nights aboard will be spent in a quarantine area, until the doctors aboard can clear you of any nasty diseases.

Rules: Also mentioned in the party post are a few basic rules for conduct while aboard. I'll repeat these here, for posterity:

1) No discharge of weapons aboard the Enterprise.

2) No physical assault, mind-tampering, or exerting undue influence on other guests or crew.

3) No tampering with operational procedures of the ship.

4) No stealing technology from the ship for personal use or relocation to any other world.

5) No interruption of official areas of the ship (bridge, transporter room, engineering, etc.) without proper authorization, also no invasion of privacy in other guests' or crew quarters.

6) Review the Prime Directive (which, at its essence, states "No starship may interfere with the normal development of any alien life or society.").

The rules will no doubt change and grow as gameplay continues, but we wanted there to be a basic IC set of laws for all to follow. Naturally, since this is a game, these are all subject to plotting things out with your fellow partner and getting mod clearance for bending the rules for a plot. But for every-day interaction on-board, this is what security will hold you to!

Now, feel free to use this post to ask questions and sync up with the players of your new roommate. If we've forgotten anything, let us know and we'll add it. Above all else, have fun! The party post will remain open through the entire weekend, and on into however long it takes for everyone to meet & greet. :)

Greetings, everyone!

Picard has delivered a follow-up message to the ship regarding the situation, freeing up your characters to do a little more exploring. Huzzah! This announcement brings two major things up for you, both IC and OOC.

1. More access to the ship. Your character can now go anywhere civilian access is permitted, but a few areas that are still restricted are: the bridge, the observation lounge (conference room), the engine rooms (any and all), transporter rooms, and shuttle bays. Lab and classroom access will be limited based on what those rooms are being used for (ie: no you cannot build a bomb, sorry). Expect any and all computer access to be limited to what a civilian would be able to access, so no Starfleet records, detailed schematics of the ship (such that could show where the weapons holds are and so forth), or sensitive information. Plenty of history, and lots of research, though! Now comes the part where we, the mods, have to explain other areas of the ship to you players who have limited Star Trek knowledge. We'll release basic "tutorials" on a weekly basis (likely on the weekends, when there is less Real Life to contend with). Since there's a lot on this boat people may not be familiar with, we'll probably be posting these tutorials for a long time. So here's the thing: What areas would you like more details on? What parts of the ship confuse you? I thought we could start off with replicators, since everyone will be using them straight away, and from there we can pick topics at random, but if there is a pressing need for more information on a certain thing, we definitely want to get to that thing first. Drop us some questions and opinions in the comments!

2. IC Room assignments. Now that the room assignments have gone out OOC, and Picard has informed everyone they will be relocated to new rooms with roommates, I have a question. Would you guys like a party post setup where roommates can connect with each other (just tag in, tag around, threadhop if you like, similar to how we handled the Sickbay check-ups), or would you all prefer to coordinate introductions with your new roommate privately? We encourage everyone to thread with their roommate once the list goes up and build your CR, so we're going to make it as easy as possible for everyone to interact. Once I have an idea of what you all prefer, we'll post the room list IC and the mayhem can officially begin.

ETA: The room assignments we announced last week have been added to a hard copy, which we've added to our links sidebar on both comms for easy access. You can visit the post here!

Right, I think that's everything. Have I left out any important details? Any questions? Let us know!
blackmetalkittens: (Default)
[personal profile] blackmetalkittens
Finally here, and with apologies for the delay: beginning around this time next week, each of the new guests aboard the Enterprise will be lodged in Deck 7, Section 4. The accommodations consist of "double suite" quarters, two private bedrooms sharing a bathroom and a small but very comfortable living room. They have access to a replicator that serves food and drinks, manufactures clothes and small utilitarian objects (but no weapons or Starfleet uniforms). The new guests will also have limited computer library access, including the ship's massive collection of entertainment media.

For the moment they are still restricted to their shared quarters, the Ten Forward Lounge, and the lifts and hallways between those two points. The new rooms and official roommates will be enacted ICly by the captain, and once that happens characters will be gradually allowed to roam other parts of the ship. There will also be security officers assigned to the same deck, where they can keep an eye open for disagreements or trouble.

The room assignments were set by dice rolls, and then tweaked slightly according to requests and common sense (like making sure a married couple has privacy and people with more than one character did not have them rooming with each other). We'll be using this same system as more characters join the game. In three months time, we can reshuffle rooms and roommates if we need to separate roomies who do not work well together, or if other special circumstances require it. For now, build CR with the roommate you were assigned and see what happens!

We'll add this info to an official rooming page, along with the rooms and decks where characters can locate crewmen and other important information. For now, this is for your perusal so you can let us know if we've made any errors. Now, without further ado, the list:

Room 0711 - Pyrrha and Trance Gemini

Room 0712 - Caspian and Katherine Barlow

Room 0713 - John Crichton and Eleanor Lamb

Room 0714 - Butch Cassidy and Jack Twist

As you know, we are opening in 2 days time (or one day, depending on when you see this sneaky late-night post of mine. After the dust settles and the shock wears off, people are likely to need some quiet time, and rest.

So, for the first few nights, all the 'guests' at the Enterprise will be quartered on deck 7, sections 1 to 4. The quarters there are double suites, with private sleeping areas sharing a common, central bathroom. Characters will be assigned randomly to rooms, with the exception of special cases, such as in-game/on-board married couples and children and their guardians.

Initially, they will be "gently confined", as in, not allowed to wander the ship; from their quarters they can take the lifts to deck 10, and the lounge; they are strangers, after all, and Mr. Worf wants everybody where he can keep an eye on them. As people get acquainted with the crew, win their trust and start to be seen as regular guests, exceptions will be made and the newcomers will get to see the wonders of a Galaxy-class Federation cruiser openly and up close.

We will make a random draw for roommate arrangements, beyond the special cases listed, and as time goes by and people get to know each other, room transfers will be allowed if in-character incompatibilities reach a disruptive level in the crew's opinion. Meanwhile, some "odd couples" scenes are sure to crop up, and hopefully be fun for all involved.

Now you gentle folk need to comment with your character, if there are any special circumstances to be excused from random roommate assignment; we will tabulate the results once everyone's been thrown in and do another post letting everyone know who they've been paired up with as a roommate and where they'll be moving together.
